So I've been cutting my own hair for about a year and decided it was time to go a barbers and get a "proper cut" today... £30 for a short back and sides and a freaking combover... Got court tomorrow for a daft fine I forgot to pay hence why I bothered getting a bloody hairdoo... rant over

I used to be a dog walker and run a daycare centre for dogs we had an in-house groomer etc it looked challenging at times when she was working with new dogs that weren't familiar with her, love animals but dogs are certainly special

I have been to the Barber's less than 10 times in my life.

Last place I went in on a whim walking past it was a Gentleman's blah blah comfortable old cracked leather sofas , coffee on the go news papers. I had a haircut, had a large beard so trim and treat (whatever that was) hot towel slapped on my face and that was £50 two years ago.

I mean I looked beautiful for 24 hours and I went to sleep and it was all gone again.

Same here, decided 25 years ago it's not worth the trip and did it myself since then (heh, even the wife enjoys shaving my head sometimes).

My mrs has been shaving mine for a while now, although that isn't me in the picture I do have a very similar beard so that's where I spend my fortune. My beard guy charges me £45!!! He's the only guy that doesn't butcher it though.

You cut your beard???? Isn't that heresy? lol

I tried two barbers for beard trims. One just made a mess of it and the other cut my lip. So never again.

Current beard length approximately 12-13 inches (would be a bit longer but it's quite curly)

Well, trim it yeah! I take about half an inch off every 2 months or so!

It's really hard to find a good beard barber, the guy I use only cuts beards, no hair. The rest have all been shit but I doubt they get much practice at barber school.

That's some serious length! I'm only at about 5 Inches at the moment! it's probably close to my longest as well. Impressive stuff that mate!
