Clinics Medicann UK

Great, thank you. Apologies for all the questions with being new (to Medicann, not cannabis for medicinal purposes). Are there any specific brands you would trust more or any you would avoid, e.g. are the Big Narstie ones generally good, as they seem good bang for the buck.

I received my first script recently and I've been very happy with it. The whole process with Medicann was pretty straightforward and easy; although the app is a little glitchy.
Been self medicating for about 15 years beforehand. The whole process took about 3 weeks and I didn't even need to contact my GP for my medical record. First consultation was a short phone call where they provided a portal link, so if you have the NHS app, you can login through there and they can see your history online. They said they would contact my GP for the record if they needed to or if there was any issues with the NHS login.

Took two weeks after that for the next appointment. That call lasted 5 minutes where I gave them a brief overview, was honest about my usage and what I needed it for. 3 Days after that I had a call with the doctor, who was happy to approve and the order was shipped the next day. I could choose exactly what I wanted from the first order.

I did try two different types of painkillers via my GP before applying, although honestly I think they would've accepted me with just 1, they seem to be a bit more flexible than others and look at everything in context. As long as you don't have any red flags such as schizophrenia, bi-polar or you've made S attempts in the past, I think they are pretty reasonable. From this site: "A case-by-case prescribing model with no firm rules on two previous licensed medication failures while fully aligned with GMC guidance."

It also seems you can order up to once a week, so you can try a batch and reorder some more if you like it. You would have to pay more for delivery obviously but it's only £4.99 next day. And if you want to increase your usage from say 30g to 40g - you just add it to the order and they will approve it based on what you've talked about with your doctor? I haven't tried it yet, but that's my understanding. I'm not sure if other places do this?

Only possible downside with Medicann is apparently they might be difficult with ordering stuff from a different pharmacy? But they use IPS which has a massive selection and it's free. So I'd choose it being free than paying at £100+ a year extra for the ability to order from a different pharmacy. Seems like a good deal to me, but I get there's potentially some legal issues which I don't understand. If they have much more limited version of IPS and the stuff I want isn't available that will be annoying though.

I would definitely recommend everyone go with them whilst it's free for life. No idea how they are making money? I guess it's from the IPS link, or they are building customers and will have fees in the future?

I'm also super impressed with the flower, people had me worried it would be awful but the bags I received are decent. I used to pay about £220- £230 for 28g and had lots of options of good quality stuff. It was a bit pricey though and I always got 28 of the same strain because it was better value. But with Medical I can order 3 different types and have more variety. I wanted to try the cheaper stuff to see how it was (all non irradiated), spent £190 including delivery, got Mango K (£70 25%), Carbon Fibre ( £59.50 25%) and Fruity Pebble Kush (£55 27%). Mango K was just as good as any other Haze I've tried, smells and tastes great and good value. Carbon Fibre grown and packaged in the UK - not too dry, smell and taste are pretty unique due to the strain but I enjoyed it. Fruity Pebble Kush was pretty muted, didn't taste of much but the effects are nice and it's pretty strong. Considering how cheap it was you really can't complain, I'm very happy. I'm sure I will get some bad batches at some point, but as long as you do some research and buy the good brands the medical stuff should get better in quality over time. It's crazy to me so much is shipped from half way around the world but the Canadian Mango K is very nice.

I've only had vape carts from Medicann.

The Aurora® Sourdough is great in the evenings and before bed, and the Electric Honeydew is good for pain relief during the day.

The 4C Labs 15 Loco tastes like Cherry Drops, and I've found it good for gigs. It's decent on pain relief and makes me more relaxed than the Electric Honeydew, which tends to focus me too much to enjoy the music.
