Intros Hello, newbie with a couple of questions

Hello everyone
I wished i had found this site and forum before paying £99 consultation fee to releaf, i appear to have chosen an expensive option.
My consultation is tomorrow, although they have written to me saying that they have revewed my medical records and i will almost defintely be prescribed.

A couple of questions, having paid the 99 i guess i should stick with releaf at least for a few months, can i use a releaf prescription elswhere, or are they in house only?

I am a lifelong cannabis user now in my 60s, i like a dark strong Indica hash (dark oily morroccan, black, nepalese), any recommendations for a bud that would be similar?

It's odd being a life long hash smoker entering the world of a million strains of bud!

Welcome @Moon and you've got my senses running wild thinking of those hashes ,its been a long time but it's a very valid question as its a move a lot of us made all those years ago when skunk became THE thing , I would suggest Kushes as a starting point and possibly Pave s1 as it has a dusty sort of terpenes a bit like hashplant.
I reckon others might be more definite in there answers as its literally been years since I had some hash but welcome to the forum.

Yes it's a bit of an enigma to me releaf and their policies and medicines, do let us know how you get on as I'm keen to learn and will start looking into it myself as these questions keep coming up surrounding releaf .ie. which medicines are available and so on.

Oh that looks hopefull, one of them is a kush and a couple are nothernlights based which I have tired many yrs back. For me its pain releif, and sleeping issues, hence Indica strong.

Was going to mention Northern lights as it seems to etched in on us peeps that have aged a little I'll call it The strain High Silver is a personal fav for during the day as basically its super silver haze and contains northern lights as well and I know of pain patients who find it works in the daytime .

It's getting increasingly hard to get proper hash, most are now various skunks pressed up as fake 'morroccan' in Holland! Nothern lights was a nice feeling a well rounded smoke, bascially a nice daytime early evening smoke, though i would need something a bit more Indica heavy for late evening. Hopefully they will let me get a few grams of each to try and find the correct one for me.

I've just signed up with Releaf myself.
Initial consultation was on Sunday morning and the prescription was ready first thing Monday for me to choose my medication and pay the invoice all in one go.

Still waiting for delivery, though I was hoping for next day with their substantial membership cost. Not much of an issue for me however if it takes a week.

I did come here after I had my initial consultation to read all the hate for Releaf. I do agree they overcharge as I just paid £79.99 for 10g of 4C Labs Pink Kush which is £60 per 10g with every other clinic.
Which I found out after.
I'll be bringing this up with them as the monthly subscription states member pricing for medication.

The service seems smooth and easy so far, so I'll see how it goes for now.
I don't mind paying premium if the service is premium but that is still yet to be determined.

I'd also be interested to know if I can get the prescription sent to another pharmacy just to get the better pricing and choice. If anyone has experience with this.
I'll be asking them soon though and report back here if no one else has yet.

Also I can't say I've seen any hash on any of the formularies so far, but good luck with your bud journey

Okay a bit of feedback, had my consultation with Releaf today.
It was professional and friendly, they prescribed me 40grams per 30 days of flower and would not go higher on the initial prescription (and said they never go above 60grams), despite me requiring 50 – 60 and asking for that. They also gave no choice on the type of flower or told me what they stock, they prescribed me 4C Labs Pink Kush 20grams and MG Health ECS Bafokeng Choice 20grams. The consultant worked this out as the best choice via my medical history and needs and against my honest hash consumption which is about 50g per 28 days.

Reading up on these flowers I am quite happy and was recommended a kush on here anyway. The cost worked out at 8 per gram, but that will increase to 9 per gram next month as I got an initial month’s subscription free. I asked about leaving and was told I am committed to 2 months as I have one free and one paid in advance. I ran out of time before asking if I could use their prescription elsewhere (I doubt you can they are very in house). I will see how I go with these and see if they will up it to 50 – 60 per month next time. If this does not work out, I do not regret as this site has educated me about moving and what is available elsewhere.

I think releaf is probably ideal for a non experienced smoker joining for the medical effect, they are responsible, and polite and helpful.

I bought some items in the shop not knowing there was a black friday deal on the front of the website, i moaned in chat and got refunded the deal 20% off.

Ah that is good to know. I didn't really ask enough questions during my initial consultation to be honest.

That's good that they refunded the difference for you.

The Pink Kush is meant to be really nice from what I've heard about it, so I'm looking forward to mine anyway.

If they are able to provide a good service and a high quality medication then I'm happy to be honest.

I do see a lot of complaints about these cheaper medications from other pharmacies not being very good.

Time shall tell, plus if Releaf are willing to listen and make changes then all the better.

Welcome mate. I had a real terrible experience with Jorja Emerson Centre in the summer, so I'm really keen to find the right clinic as I think many will struggle with the exponential growth...I think its a case of being ready to switch quickly.
