I think Alternaleaf have come out the other end of their rough patch. It's a shame I may be leaving tomorrow...
I know a few people may be considering another clinic after the CB1 Medical issues and felt I would throw my 2 cents into the ring here.
They were kind enough to action my script immediately instead of waiting for the weekend all without asking, then after a slight issue on my part I had to change a strain, emailed them on Saturday when I noticed I made a mistake.
Yesterday, I get an email to say my script was approved and they were sending it to IPS directly instead of Montu > IPS. And then about 15 minute ago (annoyingly after 4PM!) I get the payment link from IPS.
My biggest issue with Alternaleaf has always been the Montu > IPS delay. It meant I had to choose between medication I didn't want or a prompt turnaround. If they're no longer sending to Montu first then that is a game changer to the point I'm considering halting my move. The way I see it is if my meds can go to either Montu/IPS without a delay then that gives me access to the most complete and reliable pharmacies (moving would only give me access to IPS).
Montu appear to have restocked to an acceptable level. Albeit with a lot of filler product. I personally think they should change the way they communicate NNR products, it makes them look empty but they do have workable levels of stock at all prices now.
Their email services and new live chat seem to have sped a lot of things up for them. I always found the call back service reliable instead of waiting for calls so I don't know how that has been affected, if it's been affected.
It's a budget clinic so it will always have some shortcomings but I think things are starting to turnaround for them now.

That's unusual, have you contacted them?I'm still waiting on my first script being issued, more than a week after my doc meeting!
That's unusual, have you contacted them?
Normally the doctor writes the script on that call so there's no need for the script to then be approved outside of that initial MDT meeting to approve you as a patient.
I wouldn't expect you to be waiting a week, at most 4 days.
That's odd, definitely chase it if I were you.Doc wrote-up Sourdough as flower, instead of cart on last Monday's call (no shade, he's a noob). Customer Service sent it back to him for a rewrite, last Weds. Maybe by the time it had been rewritten it had missed last week's MDT, who knows?!
Emailed yesterday, but not heard owt back yet. At this rate, by the time the script is released, items will be OOS!![]()
I wonder if the original doctor needs to sign it off because it's the first script? Honestly I'd you're able to, ring them tomorrow and they'll escalate it.Still showing as "your prescription is awaiting approval" on Montu account![]()
Not sure I'll have the opportunity to call them tomorrow, but if a little time presents itself, I will do!I wonder if the original doctor needs to sign it off because it's the first script? Honestly I'd you're able to, ring them tomorrow and they'll escalate it.
If you do it in the morning you may find you get a payment link tomorrow as well.
Sorry you're having to deal with this nonsense mate. It's hardly encouraging on the first script! Not sure I'll have the opportunity to call them tomorrow, but if a little time presents itself, I will do!
Gahhhhh - MDT requested additional evidence of meds previously tried - obvs not mentioned on SMRSorry you're having to deal with this nonsense mate. It's hardly encouraging on the first script!
Hopefully you get an email reply tomorrow anyway but at minimum at explanation would be nice.
Surely they should of clarified this by the stage your at but obviously not and the main thing is whether it's a problem to get this evidence and hopefully it isn't so things can get back on trackGahhhhh - MDT requested additional evidence of meds previously tried - obvs not mentioned on SMR
My ADHD brain is now on the brink of throwing an f-it at it.
You've come this far mate, don't throw it away at the final hurdle!Gahhhhh - MDT requested additional evidence of meds previously tried - obvs not mentioned on SMR

Same thing happened to me as it happens! I followed up with screenshots from my NHS app and they were happy with that so maybe an option?Gahhhhh - MDT requested additional evidence of meds previously tried - obvs not mentioned on SMR

Yeah, I can get the evidence easily enough. I have my entire medical record - requested recently for something unrelated. Without going into a long and unnecessary rant, I've had to spend a lot of time recently spoon-feeding clinicians and doing their admin for them, so I have a high level of background annoyance. You've come this far mate, don't throw it away at the final hurdle!
Are you able to get this evidence easily? They accept things like NHS app screenshots so if you've got any info in there it could be an easy fix for you. I Didn't have old script info in my app but the "documents and events" section contained info from the appointments where id requested the medications.
If it's really stressing you out, maybe just ping your GP an email asking to confirm the dates you had these medications, then forward/screenshot that email as proof. that may be suitable enough.

Absolutely! Fingers crossed this is the last step now and once they have the evidence they need your prescription can be approved and you can begin your journey into the wonderful world of medical cannabisYeah, I can get the evidence easily enough. Innit, tho! Would've been smoother if it had been requested along with everything else.
I mean, it's good that they're being vigilant, right?
Cheers, you lot. You're such a good bunchI'll get it sorted

Yeah, theres a few more, they'll send it anywhere you request, but it'll be sent via montu.Been looking into Alternaleaf, spoke to a lovely lady other day on the phone who claims they are partnered with Montu, IPS, Newgrove and CB1 Medical, can anyone confirm NEWGROVE is also a partner pharmacy to Alternaleaf?
Just nice to know they won't have quams sending your script elsewhere, I'm leaving CB1 Medical after my doc told me I can change clinic If I want to request my script to be sent elsewhere... point blank made out that CB1 DON'T allow patients to send their scripts to other pharmacies which I know is BS and quite possibly illegal...Yeah, theres a few more, they'll send it anywhere you request, but it'll be sent via Montu.
So your script always goes to the default pharmacy and then they send that on to the chosen Pharmacy which can add a few days to things but that's the only downside.
As a clinic they don't mind at all but the process can be a pain.Just nice to know they won't have quams sending your script elsewhere, I'm leaving CB1 Medical after my doc told me I can change clinic If I want to request my script to be sent elsewhere...
