The clinic provides mental health assessments for people interested in a trial of a Cannabis-Based Medicinal Product (CBMP).

Cannabis Clinic Cardiff (CCC) is a patient-centred, clinician-led Private Medical Clinic.

Patients can self-refer to the clinic for a FREE eligibility assessment. An initial appointment with a Specialist Consultant will follow, assessing symptoms and medical history to determine your suitability for having a trial of a CBMP.

There is no guarantee that an initial appointment will result in a prescription of a CBMP and any prescribed product will be determined as appropriate following discussion with the prescriber.

At present, CBMPs can only be prescribed for a limited range of conditions and for patients who meet minimum eligibility criteria.

You'll collect a lot of good experiences like this and you'll see why we don't moan on here 😄

My great experience today is being able to get an extract allowance as soon as the products dropped and make an order which will go out tomorrow.
I'll cover the good and bad lol. At least until my first review so people have an idea of what it can be like if you're unlucky.

I've officially discharged from Medicann today so there's no going back haha.

Big up on the extracts, I'm going to wait for you guys to drop your thoughts before I dive in. I don't trust them to do it properly 😂

Keep documenting your honest experience here at every step, I personally feel Cannabis Clinic Cardiff single-handedly saved my medical cannabis experience after such bad experiences with my clinics prior. As above, CCC cannot control how long it takes external pharmacies to action scripts, and some are legitimately terrible.

Your experience with the five day delay before writing is honestly not something I've ever experienced, in the 3+ years I've been with them, every single script has been posted by the next working day at the latest, with tracking numbers sent by email (Special Delivery <1pm).

As above from @Lank72, you'll learn over time which pharmacies are quicker to action external scripts, and as @GrownHealth said, pharmacies like Specials and Botanical Health Dispensary have to wait on stock being delivered to them before dispatching - and they can only be as quick as distributors, some are reliably next day, some can take 3-4 days for them to receive - and it's literally outside the pharmacies control most of the time, long as they request the meds same-day.

The sheer ability to order from any pharmacy, and access nearly every discount pays for itself at CCC, but you also need to be more proactive in managing how much you have in reserve to allow for processing times. As they say, try always keep two weeks in reserve, and you should never go wrong.

I'm hoping I have a similar story to yourself when we're all said and done with it. CCC will be my last clinic regardles of whether it works out or not so fingers crossed they save my medical journey like they have done yours.

Just looking at it now I put the request in on 11/05, Pharmacy received it on 15/5 according to the tracking. So 5 days to get to the pharmacy from request. On the system it took until the thursday to say "printing" but I do understand thats a manual system and they were staff training so I think the timing was just off. That said I'm sure some of you made requests later than 11/05 and received them earlier than yesterday.

I have noticed Botanical and Specials used tracked24 instead of Special Delivery, according to my postie that makes the world of difference now unfortunately. this isn't a clinic issue though. Specials offering me DPD could be a good solution.

As you can read I'm a grumpy bastard about it all but I am willing to let a lot of things slide this time around. @GrownHealth reminded me that limits reset on the 1st so I've built up a little buffer room now, I did have weeks of meds built up but a mix of Medicann being shit for months and this stuff ate it up quite quickly.

I do also have another 30g I can order before the limit reset, I may well put that on the cheapest flower I can find just to add some filler and bulk out the reserve stock even further.

I do genuinely think I've just had an unfortunate start and that this place is really going to reveal itself to be life changing for me. I can feel it in the air. the way the team talk to you, the way Dr Dave goes about things, the experiences I've read from all of you over the months. Just need a few things to go my way and I'll feel on top of the world I imagine.

Oh and can I also say it's really nice to see you in the discussions more often lately. I know you don't get much free time but everyone really values your input. I hope you're taking care of yourself and you'e managing to find some you time and some time for your family as well mate. Much love to you and all you've done as always.
 
The only few times I found a teeny tiny bit of fault in Cannabis Clinic Cardiff's handling is when they use RM24 instead of Special Delivery. And these days, like others also said, can add a few days. It seems completely random though, most of the times it remains special delivery

I figure seeing as I've moaned so much i should balance it out with how things have been since the first lot of orders. I've not posted much about it and as they say, no news is good news.

I've made 2 orders, requested a travel letter and generally been in comms with the clinic a fair bit recently and everything has been sound. My scripts have been approved, printed and sent off within a day or so, and they've all arrived with the pharmacies within 3 days of the request. Newgrove have dispensed some of my medication and Botanical will likely be dispatching the other bits on monday.

I won't write many more of these going forward, only at things like my 6 week review, etc. but my reason for writing this is to simply say since the first few weeks started off a bit tough, it's all been smooth sailing and I'm very happy with my decision to join Cannabis Clinic Cardiff.

Botanical emailed me earlier to say a product I want might take 5 days, I was okay with it but I need to sort the travel letter but I know medications need to be dispensed before letters can be written (turns out i was wrong on that!). Anyway, CCC Went fuck that, that's way to long! Let us cancel it and send the items you're waiting for to Montu.

I didn't need to do a single thing, they handled all the communication, all the admin, etc. I just replied to the email saying "Yes, please do that if possible" and within an hour I had Botanical cancelling the order, sending an invoice for a new order and it to be sent out tomorrow. Montu I'm hoping will be within a couple of days.

I just wanted to come on here quickly and highlight that not only did CCC handle the biz for me but they also acted in my best interest in advising what to do. I feel thats what I wanted when i decided to move here, healthcare and advocacy. Happy fuckin' days.

It's just totally different, they add valuable depth to the things which are directly their responsibility, and they go above and beyond to working on things that aren't their responsibility at times

"We've just sorted that out RIGHT for you so you can relax" is a common outcome I find.

They have been setting the standard for the rest imo

Honestly its a beautiful thing and when you see fires at other clinics taking place today it really makes you appreciate it all.

At the moment I'm browsing the flowers by recently added or looking at the pharmacy formularies. Is there a better way that you guys have figured out?

I just add things I'm considering on my planner on the main database here, then when I'm ready to order, just copy/paste the list into an email 😅

Just the entire flower list, or as you say specific pharmacy formularies, and when I'm zoning in on something specific I use the beta mega monster super formulary on here

Seems like between yourself and Lank that I'm pretty much doing the same as you guys :).

I use the formulary tool a lot, especially for terp filtering but so many products aren't coming with terp charts these days (looking at you IPS and BNM!), so I imagine they're missing my filters even if they're good. Ah, the joys of MC lol.

Yes mate and I had a look at the formulary before not expecting too much but then put 2 and 2 together and realised the discount can be applied ordering from an outside clinic so there are a few on their that look better priced than I've seen before and as a carer I imagine I'd qualify as would a lot of other patients for the MYPAS discount :unsure:
