Clinics CB1 Medical

Many in the industry are calling for it too, for some cross-department governmental body between DHSC, MHRA, CQC and GPhC to direct medical cannabis overall.

Personally have very mixed feelings, I worry that treating medical cannabis differently to other medications in any way could negatively impact patients. In some ways I agree, it's a herbal product not a pharmaceutical IMO, and therefore should actually come under lesser regs overall - and may need some different handling.

If we end up with one big governmental body specific to MC, how do we ensure they actually address patient concerns, and don't just act in the interest of companies trying to lobby them constantly? What patients don't see right now from companies to regulators is all fighting over why X competitor's practice should be disallowed, and their own practices allowed.

If they treat us like consumers then:

1. When you change clinic be sure to use an electronic card (Revolut et al) that can be frozen at any time.
2. If you have a credit card pay by that as I think the banks might side with you
3. When the clinics start seeing the financial hit (the only language they understand) it will hopefully improve things.
4. We document every single issue we come across here so they can see that we are not joking.
5. Leave google and trustpilot reviews. I left a 1* review for a clinic on TP and within hours they asked me for more info.

I certainly get a sense of this hostility and this is possibly seeping through to the communication between clinics and pharmacies and affects patients when making complaints or requesting outside pharmacies!

Misread this initially, agree completely.

Dependent on bank and policy, many banks will just refund disputed clinic or pharmacy fees - but in-turn that company may choose to bar/ban that patient for attempting to do so. Have again heard claims here of patients being demanded to repay refunded fees in-order to continue utilising services.

This is our greatest power, all patients can vote with their wallet.

💯 The only reason our review system hasn't been launched yet on the main site is we don't have the resources/capacity/money to police it right now. So far we've had 5 different companies or individuals try start legal action against MedBud because of our honest public commentary – luckily all were easily dismissible as inadmissible bullpoop without the need to get our solicitor involved.

Once all MedBud listings have full public reviews, there's no hiding/burying feedback for companies any more. We won't ever censor honest feedback from patients, but other platforms will under legal pressure.

The second a company has a load of 1 star reviews and it's affecting their business, they will try legal disputes against us IMO.

I realised that CB1 Medical scripts are in numerical order, so using two separate orders I can see they issued 313 scripts between 16-20 Dec. So roughly 78 scripts per day. Lets say average spend on script is a conservative £400 = £31k.

Couldn't we organise some sort of Medical Cannabis Union of a sort. I know we have MedBud as a Good Voice for patients, which is Excellent. Would people give up a month or two by not purchasing. I know I'm OK to get street meds if need be, but would everyone else be able to 🤔

I reckon we are seeing a lot of patients myself included taking off their rose tinted glasses with Medical Cannabis because of quality , cost and service issues and basically more and more people are reluctant to break the bank to only be dissappointed with a product they've spent best part of £100 on.

Personally can't see why the top end of the product market is not £6-7/g not 10,9 or 8 ,also with products starting lower than previous cultivars as in £3 then we would see a lot more people come to Medical Cannabis and get the benefits, within their budgets and possibly without compromise on choice limited by cost.
Trying to stay below £6 here
