Curiosity question about DM's

Curious as to how you send Direct Messages to people on here?
I don't need it at the moment, but may well be useful to know.
I did have a quick try, but no luck.

Could be I'm having to use a phone or tablet at the moment (laptop playing up)

Only Admin have DM's and the feature has never been activated as to try and keeps things simple

It's nice not having them. I hate having to manage them on other places and the inbox is always running out of space. Nice to not have to do any of that.

They can be useful if there is a mechanism to be able to restrict who messages you (like you both have to follow eachother ), but generally I agree they can be annoying!

You can post on someone's profile but it is visible by all and limited to a certain amount of characters per post and can be frustrating I find.

Was a curiosity thing, and some stuff like papers that aren't open access, I can't give to people publicly, you can share pay wall ones to a limited number of people, but not publicly, I would also loose my Toxicologist registration for doing that.

I will in future attached open access only and the others I can post the Abstract and DOI number for people

Yeah its a tough one, I see it 50/50, useful, but can be a pain.
I was just happy it wasn't me being a technical moron
