Intros New legal patient here, Releaf+ first, looking for advice and patient-friendly places

I’m hamishnotshamus, UK based, and this is my first post here, so go easy on me.

I’ve recently joined Releaf+ and I’m new to the legal medical cannabis side of things, but I’ve been around cannabis for about 20 years. So I’m not new to the plant, but I am new to doing it all properly through clinics, prescriptions, repeats, pharmacies, stock lists, and the joys of trying to work out what is worth ordering.

I know Releaf+ might not be everyone’s favourite, and I’ve already seen a few mixed opinions, but they were easy to get started with and I wanted to get legal first rather than sit there overthinking it for months.

I’m now getting close to my second order and starting to have a proper look around. One place I’ve been looking at is Wellford, mainly because the price per gram looks decent and some of the flower on MedBud looks lovely.

I’m also interested in meeting or chatting with other legal medical patients, especially around Cambridgeshire and London. I’ve heard there are some patient-friendly places and cafes where people meet up, so feel free to DM me if anyone has any pointers or knows of decent communities, events, or places to hang out.

I’m still finding my feet, so any advice is welcome. Has anyone else started with Releaf+ and then moved elsewhere? Is Wellford worth a look, or are there better options for someone still learning the legal side?

Welcome @hamishnotshamus Congratulations on becoming a Legal Cannabis Patient and hope you enjoy the rest of your Journey. I'm not with releaf or Wellford but someone here will be able to help you more regarding a suitable clinic, there are clinics that are free and free to transfer to and all you pay is postage plus your meds. If on benefits/blue lights/ex service members there are extra discounts for patients on their meds, clinic depending. Hopefully to catch you in one of the forums

Congrats on becoming legal!

I would just say, avoid Wellfords. Worst clinic I've been with by an absolute mile and I'm on my 5th lol.

Hi Hamish and welcome to the forums.

I started with Releaf. I thought the doctors were fantastic but the medicine over priced and a severely limited choice. I am now with Alternaleaf and whilst the clinical care is not equivalent they are considerably cheaper and have about 120 strains available at any given time.
Hands down best clinic is (I think and if you can afford it) Cardiff Cannabis Clinic.
To a degree there is rough and smooth with all of the clinics.
I hope you find one that suits

Hi & Welcome. I also started my journey at Releaf and I agree it's a gentle way into this medical cannabis pathway and appear to be a professional outfit from the get go (had to get, get go in there somehow) to a point and to begin with...

P.s if you want/need a cheeky money saving tip #1, tell 'em ur finkin' of switching clinics and watch the incentive offers that will come flooding in and then just simply accept their offer/s and stay put for a bit longer and at some point repeat down the line...I did! Free this, free that...and then when you may or may not have had enough, switch clinics its easier than you think!
