Everything Stuff!!

I place the puck just touching the plates as it's warming up to 175 then press for a min or so. This was just Tesco greaseproof stuff.
I was finding the 42gsm and 50gsm a bit too thin really. I will try this next time I press 👍

Oh, I dont use any bags!! No point for the tiny bit I press, the pucks stay in place and no flower leech. (y)
I found pre pressing your flower first was better, I bought I gadget to press the flower into round blocks, pressed without the bags and it was more fruitful in return

Tried it without the bag before and just 2g in the puck maker for hash and couldn't believe how compacted it was so gave it a go on 175 and got some better looking stuff as it was a lot lighter in colour and am definitely going down the puck maker route without the bag but in general it's all working and my flower use has dropped as the coil pen is a great little piece of kit but back to the press and <2g at a time seems a good way for me at the moment and really looking forward to using the leftovers 😁
This is good and educating myself throughly through my experience with reading from all of you such a wonderful delightful, just I would like to ask a question please recently I read a research article stated found evidence that the dabs press I think 🤔 could be causing cancer so is this true ? Or just they wants us not to do it buy it etc ?

wow

Does this relate to the press specifically or the study into 'hot dabs'. Hot dabs no matter what you are dabbing have been proven to cause carcinogens.

Someone has to ask, what temp are we classing as a hot dab!?

I thought carcinogens only occurred at ignition/burning temps?

I was once told and believed that the green in bud is Chloroform that becomes carcinogenic when burnt, this is why I never got into skunk in the 90s, even now I am wary on MC hence the vaping, pity about my spliff weakness :)

Everything that's Burnt and inhaled is Carcinogenic. Everything we breath outside is probably Carcinogenic over time too. The water we drink is Carcinogenic over time due to forever chemicals and micro/nano plastics. They're finding cancer causing chemicals in weed too. There are chemicals mixed in with rosin to make it look clear for more money because it looks like the expensive stuff. Pressing won't cause cancer if carried out properly and vaping at lower temps are probably safer for you.

think it is shared already somewhere but here ya go :)

750c is 398c, I won't be using temps like that! The Ruby only goes to 330c
Ruby Twist recommended temps:
"Ruby Twist runs between 270-330C, with our preferred temperatures when using the standard bowl being around 305C. When using the Microdose Diffuser bowl which is now included in place of the original injector bowl we suggest running it between 240C-290C or 464F-554F, we tend to use it at around 275C or 527F".

Just reading the vape shop it recommends 275 degree's but each person will find there sweet spot.
Suggested set temperature range on the PID: 240C-290C or 464F-554F, we tend to use it at around 275C or 527F with the included Microdose Diffuser Bowl

For the injector bowl (no longer included) we suggest 270c-330c (518f-626f) but as with everything... use it as you like it! Though we wouldn't advise going much hotter as you might combust! We have customers who run this as low as 250C set on the PID controller.

Ahh this has been discussed quite a bit recently! Rosin does not come out white as we know, but 90% of USA legal Rosin is CRC cleaned which can make it white, this does not mean anything bad has happend though, basically crc cleaning is like a filtration process, however it can also be used to clean up bad bud into good looking rosin. The rosin I have bought is white, but i am very happy with it! And i will not be going above 305c with it anyway.
