Another discussion thread for anyone to chime in on. What have been your most reliable/consistent pharmacies over time?

On Friday I had scripts posted to Montu and Specials, Montu delivered today, Specials will deliver tomorrow.

I normally find Specials and IPS amongst the most reliable, always next-day when products are in stock - though Montu were impressive for the first time using them this month.

I've used Mamedica® a lot recently, and while they're quick to get medication together after invoice, not being a patient there myself it often takes a few takes to react to my script landing. I do really appreciate them providing all flower with Boveda or Integra humidity packs though.

Lyphe almost always took over a week, Xeal were good the first and only time I used them.

Currently waiting to see if my doctor can post a script to Takoda One still this month, as they've been ignoring his emails on how to direct prescriptions for several weeks apparently.

Here's my email from last year ,each clinic will be different but should send enough advanced warning.

This was sent in November last year and went smoothly for me.

Not a happy patient today.

Did my repeat a couple of days earlier than normal; it was processed and sent to Montu on Tuesday asking me to allow 2-3 days for it to be processed and available to buy online.

Still nothing. Alternaleaf and Montu phone systems are both currently cutting off calls

Surely yours isn't counted as a new request but sounds like something amiss with ordering and paying for sure,

Recently signed back up with Lyphe, good experience as ever with the clinic. 1st time round used their dispensary & had a really really bad experience with A. Medicine quality & B. Poor initial response to complaint then ignored. Then changed dispensary to IPS & was so much better so this time round sticking to Lyphe as the clinic and IPS as the dispensary

So this is your second attempt with Medical ? @SimonA ,sounds like a switch of dispensary has smoothed things out for you after bad communication from your previous dispensary, good to hear (y)

Patient/Youtuber @cannabisismedicineuk with an informative clip on the pharmacy/clinic issue's surrounding the new imperial weights rollout.
Letting us know which are doing right by us at present ,with the hope this expands soon.

Three months experience with Alternaleaf membership (£15pm) and Montu.
  • Consultations: Excellent - non-judgmental, professional and inspires confidence in the service.
  • Pharmacy service: I can't knock it. I recently needed a re-write due to an item going out of stock. It was all sorted within a day or two allowing me to still order when needed.
  • Range of medications: Difficult to assess as no experience with other pharmacies. However, I'd like to see more Sat Dom strains at the lower end of the price range.
Overall it has been an excellent experience. I'd happily recommend.

Welcome @utopiate ,it's always good to hear of patients experiences good or bad and yours seems a pleasant journey with them.
As for the range of medications, I noticed after a time you start to see little things like you say Sat Dom strains and in my case all round cheaper strains missing.
It would be much better if all medications were made easily available no matter what clinic you are with. (y)

Third time coming through Montu and has been smooth as always. Made contact with payment link within the three days everytime.

First two times put in Wednesday, paid thursday and recieved meds on Saturday. Unfortunately this week missed the 3.30pm Friday cut off, but still meds before 1pm Tuesday still a decent turn over in my opinion. They are doing their best considering the amount of people I see saying they're switching pharmacies lately.

Not sure where to put this, but I ordered from Montu for the first time as a CB1 Medical patient and experienced a few notable things / have some questions...

Digital vs. Postal Prescriptions

For some reason unknown to me, CB1 sent a hand written prescription in the post to MONTU Pharmacy, which has taken a while for them to receive. Meanwhile, I've been calling to chase to find out what's happening with my medication, and no one has been able to say where it is, or why they can't find the prescription. After many, many phonecalls to both CB1 and MONTU, it turned out the prescription was taking so long due to it being posted. Much anxiety. Pointlessly. Expecting delivery tomorrow now - so hopefully all sorted.

Q. - Are orders for a different pharmacy always posted physically, opposed to being sent electronically?

Order where it's Cheapest?

Have noticed such disparity between prices on the same products, for example...
Sundaze® Pink Snow Cone T23
CB1 - £7.90
MONTU / RRP - £5.90

I paid MONTU directly and thankfully, paid their price, saving £20 on that one item alone.

Q. Postage has been free as it is Xmas, but it doesn't look like MONTU charge postage anyway, unless you split the script... So, is there usually a postage charge / admin fee incurred when requesting the prescription to be filled at a different pharmacy? If not, I'll be ordering where items can be found the cheapest going forward.

Final point...

There's no longer a £7.50 discount at MONTU for three of the same brands, and has apparently been discontinued for a number of months now. What they do have instead, is £5 discount across all products once every 28 days. Think this needs updating @Muiredach ... The discount definitely wasn't the entire reason I chose MONTU to fulfil my script 😅👀

All in all, I'm relieved to be expecting my prescription tomorrow ahead of Xmas and the new year period.... I'm also grateful to have finally put an order in outside of my own clinics pharmacy, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without you all .. thank you MedBud fam 💚

All MC prescribed has to be done so via physical prescription, just when a clinic has an in-house cosy deal with a pharmacy it can be faster, otherwise yes it's the post

Sending a script from an 'outside' clinic doesn't trigger postage unless splitting a script, I've never paid postage at a pharmacy being with Cannabis Clinic Cardiff and using whichever pharmacy whenever

Thanks @Lank72 🙏 Slowly getting my head around it all, and this makes sense.

A+ from me for both Alternaleaf & Montu for their excellent service,

Alternaleaf have been faultless for me so far, I am happy with my Doctor, who has always made me feel comfortable when we chat via videocall each quarter, their consultation cost has recently been reduced to £39 every 3 months and I feel the cost of £13 a month for their faultless service is justified, although i do wish the quarterly consultation cost wasn't needed, as I'm aware of other clinics which could save me some money if i switched over to them, but the service I've received from both Alternaleaf and their Pharmacy Montu i feel would be very hard to match.

For instance, I had my quarterly consultation this week on Tuesday, I explained to my Doc that i was running short of my meds and may run out by Thursday, he suggested putting my script through to Montu as urgent for me, I received my Payment link from Montu the next day and I received my meds for 11am the following day (Thursday).

Many a time my emails to Montu have been delt with the very same day, i wouldn't like to experience the days or sometimes weeks that some patients are having to wait for their Pharmacy before receiving a reply.
You are lucky. I am without my medication for over a week now because of Alterleaf, now they are not answering, I have even asked them for a discharge note but still no answer. The chat doesn't work, as the phone. I ended up in hospital to get alternative medicine. They were really good last 10 months but now it is getting worse experience for me. Still without medication and any response from them
