Hello everyone, thanks for having me!

New patient to Alternaleaf; epileptic with insomnia that’s been very treatment resistant for years.

First prescription came through the other day and have slept so much better since!

Might be best doing a separate post, but I’m trying to see if there’s anything that Alternaleaf could prescribe me which has anti-epileptic properties too (I’ve read that strains high in Linalool for example can be anti-epileptic)

Really good to see your benefiting from Medical Cannabis instantly with the sleep, and I know that others here use Medical Cannabis to help control epilepsy .

I put the strawberry grail there as an example of high Linalool strain ,and I do know of a member with your condition who didn't like it ,not sure if he meant medically or not though. If your unsure on the other side of the site let us know.

Thought this is pretty appropriate for understanding cannabis types.


I find the nearer a strain is to landrace genetics the more medicinal it'll be .
More equatorial strains will be Sativa and by nature are tall lanky plants and good for focus and motivation.
The other side of the spectrum is Indica which will grow smaller but chunkier ,be more sedating and relaxing by nature.
Most strains available to us are a balance between these two.
Ruderalis is the other type of cannabis that has no medicinal benefits except for it can add an autoflowering aspect to genetics...
