Pharmacies Mamedica Pharmacy

Holiday panic fun begins.

Just had my prescription delivered with one of the items missing. No note like 'to follow' or anything, just missing. Second time I've had this happen with them.

This is one issue with our mediciation providers being run like a business, and treating holiday periods like some unforeseeable, exceptional event that they will rush and struggle over, instead of building the capacity within all the teams to be able to maintain the service

Covid was an exceptional event, Easter didn't sneak up on them

I should be clear that this is aimed at the management who determine how the company is set-up and resourced, not staff who may be struggling to meet high (and likely unreasonable) expectations, and missed something as a result

Got to give credit here but paid for prescription at midday and 3 hours later saying my prescription is being dispensed shoud have by 1pm tomorrow, usually 3-4 days.

Can anyone tell me how choosing strains for my scripts work after the first follow up consultation?

Are new patients given access to a portal on the website at a certain point to allow them to make their selections?

I've had a look at this webpage: https://mamedica.co.uk/repeat-prescription/ which seems to list what's available. Is this what I'll use from now on? It's just strange it's not accessible from my login page/dashboard, I need to go to that link directly.

And I've noticed some strange behaviour on that page, for example my favourite strain from last script was Glass Pharms Wedding Cake and I kept checking it over the month and sometimes it would be available and sometimes it would disappear. It was there this morning though, so I was confident it'd be available when I asked at my consultation, but then the clinician said it wasn't available, and afterwards I checked the webpage and it was still listed there. So like - is that the webpage or not, and why do strains seem to disappear and reappear every other day like Wedding Cake ??

It's also not the best page in the world is it? Compared to Curaleaf. It doesn't give the price of each product until you select it and the quantity, and even then it gives you the total rather than the individual prices? It's been a nightmare trying to cross reference this webpage to MedBud for pricing information.

This sounds familiar to my experience as the said link is where I completed prescription requests always and the pattern of stock availability sounds familiar too but sometimes the old F5 refresh helps but not always :(

I'm sure they have a more up to date formulary that is now available and am wondering if any other members here from Mamedica® put requests in a new way or just the old method through the link above .

I tried to put in my repeat the other day and submitted 3 times but i had a feeling it didn`t go through as was a bit playing up so i just emailed them and ordered through email.

I have changed scripts so many times because of there 1 hour and away the next , Its very frustrating both the repeat script page and availability inconsistancy.

Here is a google sheet with all prices and updated hourly with prices and availability just let it load for a minute then scroll as it can be slow

I didn`t know there was a new way lol, out the loop

Looks good.

Would be nice to see more sorting options (£/THC %, manufacturer) and filtering options (price, £/g, £/THC %, Indica/Sativa classification) eventually.
Thank-you 🙏

Also a few filters will be added in future as is the plan when time permits 🙏

Looking at the Clearleaf® vape carts thats got a month left till expiry , do we think Mamedica® will give its loyal patients a discount on them being so close to expiry or bin reuse resticker another extension like hawaiin rain. I have noticed that we dont see as much extensions on strains close to expiry more so a discount than anything else.

It'd certainly do them no harm reputation wise if they did and also might allow a few others unwilling to take the risk at£95 the chance to try these then maybe they'd become more popular and not get to near expiry in the future but that is factoring in common sense 😂

I would not mind a few discounted Clearleaf® carts of Mamedica® I have been there for 16 months and never used an outside pharmacy.
Been with since feb and spent a few quid and never used an outside pharmacy , Head has been turned with the discounts other pharmacies offer with me being on benefits but will see how the rest of year goes.

I think it would enhance their rep big style , Would this get binned then , would they be allowed to reuse as a new vape , Is the degredation of cannabinoids same as flower with vapes ie drop in THC or cbn increase , Do vapes get an extension like flower. If its getting binned then similar to burberry burning clothes to protect brand lol. Yes the price will be a factor in preventing patients buying so no brainer in discounting.

I've seen a few vapes recently get discounted near expiry so maybe there is no afterlife for them with extensions .It'd just be wrong to reuse them as a new vape 😅but you never know and the cbn question has got me thinking as I have a cart from last October here (Blueberry Kush) and it's only got a bit left in but it hits hard but when I think back it always did and my instinct leans toward it preserving better in a cart form and it'd be interesting to see a bit of data on this and also interesting to see what they say when @JR52gives em a bell.

Seen 6 months - 2 years but id say use within 6 months for to get the real medicinal benefit from it. I say reuse cos we all know what goes on in the industry and if not reuse and binned with no discount then just as bad as reuse and wasteful.
Less oxidation in cart so better than flower, cbn might be a factor in the effect you are having esp if using during day and feel groggy.

It's more the sweats but I know if I did use it now I would probably feel groggy but not like the Jet Fuel Gelato earlier in the year which it made you feel ultra groggy like full CBN effects .
I've actually just tried mine now ,taking one for the team 😂 and no it feels fine initially and quite pleasant may I say 😅so not a CBN effects surge more just nicely relaxing .

I don't really know why they don't have the Aurora® resin vapes as these would be good as well.
It would just be another good option as they are different to the rosin vapes
It competes with Clearleaf® and they know alot will go for Aurora® due to price , They not caring about Curaleaf carts etc as they dont compete really with Clearleaf® rosin but no chance they are stocking Aurora® lol. Resin and rosin blows disty away no competition but some ppl will just see THC carts and not care

The sweats lol , Sounds still very medicinal even with a little cbn in there it would make ye feell relaxed and i would say THC will drop more than cbn increase but sounds still ok.
