Clinics Medicann UK

Emailed Medicann about dry and mouldy flower issues. This was their reply.

Thank you for getting in touch and for setting out your concerns so clearly. I’m sorry to hear that your recent experience hasn’t met expectations, and I completely understand why consistency and quality are important for you, particularly if you’re considering longer-term treatment. Medical cannabis products can vary in aroma, moisture content and overall presentation due to a number of factors, including cultivar characteristics, drying/curing methods, packaging, and regulatory requirements. Dryness alone does not necessarily indicate that a product is unsafe or out of date, and similarly, natural terpene profiles can sometimes be mistaken for mould-like odours despite the product having passed all required quality and microbiological testing prior to release.

In terms of freshness and storage:

  • All products supplied to UK patients must meet MHRA and Home Office requirements, including batch testing, stability data and expiry dating before being released for dispensing.
  • Products are held and distributed by licensed manufacturers and pharmacies under controlled conditions. Clinics do not hold or warehouse stock themselves.

At present, there isn’t a way to preview or assess subjective qualities such as moisture level, aroma or terpene intensity prior to ordering, and unfortunately clinics are unable to guarantee sensory characteristics beyond regulatory compliance. That said, feedback like yours is important and is shared with pharmacies and suppliers to help inform future stocking and prescribing decisions. If you believe there may be a genuine quality or safety concern (for example, visible mould or contamination), please refrain from using the product and let us know so we can advise on the appropriate next steps and raise this with the dispensing pharmacy where necessary. We do appreciate your honesty and understand the importance of confidence in your treatment. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you’d like to discuss alternative options with your clinician at your next review.

Start the next phase of the complaint if you still have it 👍

I've just stopped consuming the flower until I can fully verify if it's indeed mouldy. I gotta sort out this magnifying glass. These conversations shouldn't even be a thing with medical. I went to medical to have cleaner flower.

I'm looking forward to trying the Original Blitz tomorrow due to not trying the strain out. I remember someone from Cancard Group before I received my first prescription 2yrs ago talking about it and a few others how nice it was. I've only had one Cultivar I wasn't impressed with from the grower, all the others have been nice, hopefully it works well 🙏🤞

Intrigued to see how you find it mate, IPS/Grow stuff doesn't get the best feedback from my time surfing reviews on Reddit/Discord/Facebook etc.

Thats interesting... only vape myself pal... often wonder/ think the cheaper strains may lack something when in a J... perhaps its because most medical is irradiated and for some reason I get the impression its gonna be shit to combust?

Can I ask what yer faves have been for during the day yerself... im beginning to think I prefer kushy gassy strains during day....still a big learning curve for me mate
Only a few worked and what I rate. Check some of my posts back and you will find them. Probably from around 30, I fuck with 3 maybe or so. So 1:10 ratio lol And i won't pay £85 because all I've tried at sucb price was not effective and some was dead as well. My experience wasn't the best but the its a learning curve. I see people that use absolutely bs flower and pay for it like its gold when in reality its only place should be the bin. And still what works for me is OOS so there you go. Thats medical unless you a rookie and vaping tea gets you medicated lmao

Alright mate, I've just had a good look and try of this, its very dry but the Nuggets are very solid and it seems to mill up well. There was no overwhelming smell when opening the container and I would say this is more a storage issue along the line somewhere which has probably caused it to dry out. I’ve put a Boveda with it to see if I can bring it back a bit. It was very smooth to vape and the effects are coming through from it, not overwhelming, its hit my eyes 😅 i'm nice and relaxed and I have had Amnesia Haze today, I'll give it a proper go tomorrow
