Clinics Medicann UK

Yep.

But get the standard, the premium steel version still sheds unfortunately, recently discovered by a UK patient as the steel rubs against the softer aluminium.

The standard is all aluminium, so far I haven't noticed that issue happening. I won't lie, as good as the grinder is, this will be Flower Mills 4th device and 3rd with genuine health risks and as a result it'll be my last one I get from them.

I haven't decided what's next. I did pick up a cournot which is basically a chinese knock off of a Santa Cruz Shredder and that started shedding paint flakes on the first grind so I'm probably going to spend a fortune on stainless steel or dare I say remortgage the gaff for a titanium.

I've literally just sent Odin some emails before I purchase 2 of their grinders, so if you're in the market I can let you know what these will be like in around a week or 2.
Oh no! I got the aluminium 2.5 and it just arrived today and am blown away but please share if there have been issues and anything I should watch for. 🙏👍

Did you get the premium one with changeable plates? Or the version with the fixed plate?

The changeable plate version is the one with new issues, I can send you the Reddit thread with the chap talking about it.

I suggest going ceramic if you're worried about shedding. I love this one, hopefully never need to buy a new one lol

Seems the chap deleted the post or got his account deleted. There's a lot of people who sha they have no issues so it could always be a bad unit but given their reputation it may not be worth chancing if you do indeed have the SS version.

I think you showed me this a couple months back! It does look top draw. How often do you clean it?

it really depends on the bud. The terpier BNMs stick to it more, with that I clean it 1-2 weeks, 10 min isopropyl soak, a rub and that's it. With drier, less sticky bud, it stays pretty clean for like a month or more even

Back to Medicann question, friend is now in a weird situation lol

She got an email saying she's approved, there's a prescription, Dr Sunny's name is there, there is a charge for £4.99, but the prescribed items are "placeholders" with a 0 value, and there was NO phone call with the Doc yet. So really not sure about the dummy prescription and the approval.

So what's up with this? Anyone knows? 😁

She just needs to ignore it, she can't actually pay for it. It's the dummy script doing it's thing. I'm fairly sure if you click repeat it should be open to order anything else.

It's standard and it now opens the app up to order ect, ask them to click on repeats even though they haven't had a script yet and the formulary should open up for them 👍

All this is great, we indeed see the formulary but how come we did not have a call, was the medical history and SCR convincing enough? Has anyone heard anything like this? Maybe we should point out that we still need a call, just to have due process?

That might have been the call to excepting, I transferred from another clinic and it was a nurse that called me as they had everything up to date they needed without the doc, it was a quick few questions. If your friend gets in touch with them through the app they can ask to have a call from the doc before starting treatment or go straight ahead and order if they know what works for them.

Sounds like I may have gotten lucky. It’s the single plate and aluminium. I’ll look into any other suggestions like the Odin and/or ceramic ?

I've just started with these too, I'd the first call yesterday and today I was able to order, I let them know I self medicate, it appeared I was prescribed blank 4 items so I went on the repeats and chose 3 to test the water.

Perhaps another call will be needed to reorder but the reviews did say these were good if you didn't need regular dr's input, I dunno as it's all new to me but I'm impressed with these so far. :)

I would love to know as well. It was amazing for seeing new products that had arrived. Would love it back!
Unfortunately I don't think it's coming back. The error you can mean a few things but given how the site vanished I would probably lean towards the domain not being renewed or perhaps more likely a fucked DNS A record or something.

Never say never but I wouldn't count on it!

I don't get why the site would be down after a few months. I was under the impression this was an ongoing project by the community. And we do already have updating formulary CSVs on MedBud too. Is this website just way out there an undoable?

All the outside sources are created and maintained by us (the patients) using our own resources and time. Sometimes life take priority over passion projects. Now, the big communities have their official formularies for each clinic, they show the same information in slightly different formats so individual contributors find it useless to maintain or invest time and resources especially when ScriptAssist makes weekly changes to the API.

Thank you for the clarification. I hope this community can be big enough that we might have the opportunity to all help out in maintaining shared passion projects that we all use together, if possible.

The community itself is a passion project more or less. Most contributors do it for free, sometimes we have more time to chill around here and help/support and there are days/weeks/months when life takes over and we have to take care of ourselves, don't forget we're all patients at the end of the day.
When it comes to the formulary I think that a stable source of information is better that multiple decentralized resources each with it's own format and benefits/disadvantages, reason for which I stopped updating the GSheets and posting here. Once Holly the AI bot is back from the "service shop" we'll have the updates here a few times a day which in my opinion is more than enough.
