Missing a month

Hey there all, hope you all had good Christmas.

I was supposed to have a review today but missed my appointment but I partly missed it because of the low funds available, basically I'm not in a position to buy meds this month. Can I pick up again when my next PIP is due or would I have to start the whole process again.? If anyone could advise please would be appreciated. Many thanks.
(I'm going to guess that there are more than a few who struggle financially at this time of year and hopefully clinics have some kind of arrangement for this)

I imagine it differs from clinic to clinic and I don't know how they would view a missed appointment if it was booked in with a consultant ,but what I would say is ring them and explain, as if you don't have the funds it couldn't be helped and hopefully it'll be seen as a unavoidable hiccup and I'd hope you'd just carry on as normal once you have had your review.
I totally understand how some of us are close to the bone moneywise at this time of year and I'd expect clinics would too , I know I've heard of others missing a month of meds due to finances in the past.

Ha ha Christmas was hectic, no more rushing around for stocking items and presents for kids, phew
I had paid already for the appointment when I had money, once bills come out it's left little and I'm Dad so I'll be the one to sacrifice for a bit. I'll give the clinic a bell on Monday explaining and see where it goes.

Glad it's all over here too ,without trying to sound too miserable but what I'd say is keep looking in on this thread till you ring and if someone's got experience of this happening to them I'm sure they'll add it in and the more knowledge on it the better

When your GP writes a prescription you still retain choice as to whether you get it fulfilled. Same deal. I'm sure they will be understanding.

I missed a review and waited an extra month with Alternaleaf and was no issue at all with them

Perfect , thank you, as it goes that's my clinic. I'll bell them Monday and explain with the expense of Christmas, have to miss a month.
