Intros Newbie waiting for a consultation on Monday with Dispensed

I'm starting to actively dislike this clinic - maybe they think bc its "free" they can treat patients like ryan-air treats its passengers?

Hi all, got an update on this (sorry I've not been able to log on sooner to mention it) and thanks so everyone for their advice.

It turns out on the day of the appointment, I did get a postponement email from them a few hours prior to my appointment. It's just I rarely get a chance to check my personal emails during my working day. So technically they did let me know, it was just short notice.

First time trying to get a prescription for this and the reason for the postponement was my GP being slow in getting the summary of care report over to them. Even when they did, it didn't have much stuff on it so spoke with a nurse at Dispensed who was really nice and friendly and professional and helped explain about the process.

Should be getting my consultation next week now and will keep everyone posted as I'm sure people are keen to learn more about a relatively new clinic in this country.

Welcome mate - Thanks for clarifying - we're watching closely

Welcome mate 👍, CB1 Medical would have done all that easily as they are Connected to the NHS mate

That's good to know. Definitely hearing a lot of good things about CB1 Medical!

The nurse I spoke to on the phone earlier said about how it works with Dispensed and that there's currently 9 strains they have in stock at the moment.

I don't suppose there's anywhere on this website that would likely say what those 9 are? Or will it just be a case of asking them?

Hi Mac, I'm new also and was with Curaleaf and have left after 1st prescription. I probably wasn't honest enough in the first place. I've been a consumer for 30 years and got three strains of catnip prescribed !!! Tell them EXACTLY what you need (y)
On my way to CB1 Medical..
9 sounds low to me looking at CB1..

Best of luck with your consultation and welcome to the community x

edit: I'm glad your giving it another go with a different pharmacy, I bet this happens too often with new patients

Haha @ Catnip!! 🤣

I had my initial consultation yesterday and the Doctor agreed that MC would be good for me to try so am just awaiting for the decision to go through the panel and hopefully hear back soon with some positive news 🤞.

This website and forum has been very valuable in getting me to where I am now even though it's still so early in the process for me. I'm not cannabis naive but I've also not consumed for 5+ years so will be tried on an oil first alongside some Lunar Circus which I think makes total sense as I wouldn't be able to guesstimate what THC% the stuff I had in the past would've been so I'm keen to establish a baseline for my tolerance.

Unable to find out much more info at this stage as to what Dispensed offers but have been really pleased with the people I've spoken to there and have been really informative for a newbie to MC like myself.

That's good to hear that your pleased with things and basically it sounds like you have got off to a positive start and your approach to it looks most sensible really as regards establishing a baseline tolerance and so long as your health(symptoms) starts to improve you'll know your on the right track or if you need to adjust anything.

Good luck with the MDT (panel)but usually it's just a formality so hopefully you can start your MC journey at your pace before we know it (y)

Yeah as @GrownHealth has said, you'll be good to go once the panel have viewed all your health records and agreed on the plan of action that has been put Forward to you 👍. Keep notes of the positives and negatives using your medicine regarding your Health Conditions. You should hear something very soon hopefully, I dont know how long the process takes with Dispensed Clinics.
