Intros Hi! New Member with his consultation on Thursday

Hi All

Been researching on this site for a few weeks but joined up today, I have my first consultation with CB1 Medical on Thursday morning, im completely anxious about the entire thing praying they will help me

Got refused a consultation with Mamedica® after passing eligibility only to be told because my diagnosis and treatments are more than 12 months old, felt like I was being fobbed off as why the hell would you not mention this “rule” on your eligibility test!?

This left me feeling hopeless however after reading a lot of posts here it seems this is a very odd experience with Mamedica so I’m hoping Thursday I will get some good news, they already had my medical records before they confirmed the consultation

Just wanted to say how helpful this place has been and how I hope to be using it more as a patient!!

Welcome to the community @Babatayo and that does sound strange with Mamedica® but I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about as with CB1 Medical you already have a consultation booked so it looks a formality now and the doctors are really here to help and believe in Cannabis as a medicine .

Lovely to hear you find the site useful as it was for many of us here when starting our MC journeys .

Good luck with Thursday and just be straight up with them about what you feel you require as many of us have been a little shy on our first consult and in hindsight not ordered enough which can be self defeating

hello and welcome to the forum, i am sure you will be fine with CB1 Medical, I'm not with them anymore but i do remember the consultation was very relaxed and easy going.

Sounds like Mamedica® decided they had enough patients at the moment and didn't want to say that or something? Weird one.

Anyway, welcome, most of us were very anxious throughout the whole sign-up until the first script arrives - as has been said it's usually a formality if they have allocated a Dr appointment to you, so just be honest about any experience with canna, what you are hoping to get from getting a prescription, how much you need, etc, and hopefully we'll hear from you on Thursday that the doctor has approved and you are moving through the process to opening your first MC parcel

Thanks for the advise ref the appointment, I suffered from depression and was prescribed citalopram about 20 years ago and it almost ended my life, found BM medication and that helped so much I never stopped, I then got chronic pain 10 years later which I was prescribed painkillers for but I stopped as I couldn’t operate at all. My usage is about 2-3gs a day having said that I’m worried they will say that excessive however it’s this that has enabled me to work, earn a living and progress my life till now,
I will take your advise and be 100% honest!! Thank you so much!

Thanks Lank couldn’t agree more! my feeling was that they couldn’t be bothered, horrible thing to happen when it’s your first “knock on the door” but the videos online and the advise here gave me the support I needed to try again
I have an appointment with Medican next week if this fails (fingers crossed it won’t)

Must stay positive!!!

Hi name's dale self medicated most of my life until recently now getting amazing product and does exactly what I need for my ailments received my new medication today . Rainbow sherbet, strawberry shortcake. And a tiger blood vape,I been medicating for 30 + years and had a couple on the yocan ziva and felt like I was 13 again couldn't get up for a good half hour definitely won't be taking this one too work

Welcome Dale and many of us have migrated to medical after many decades of self medicating and nice to see you've found strains that work for you straight away it's also a good time too as prices are becoming more realistic recently

There's other options. Remember your the patient in the driving seat and its naturally normal to feel anxious. Everyone is. Normalised, I hope. I wish I was signing up with CB1 Medical

Almost 30 years of hiding, getting ripped off, probably poisoning myself, being judged in general by the public, police, family and even friends

It s very emotional I realise this is still just the start of my journey, maybe the end of the first chapter and what a long first chapter it has been
