Happy new year guys!

Not sure if this is the area to post this question but if not please let me know!
So I was prescribed my medicinal cannabis and received it mid December and initially it was working amazing in terms of sleep and anxiety but now I’m finding im waking up in the night again and the anxiety is creeping back in. I find I’m also starting to use more cannabis to aid my symptoms. Is this more of a strain issue? I don’t want to be using more cannabis than I really need for cost effectiveness reasons more than anything else. I suppose to summarise is this more of a strain hunting issue or a tolerance issue I’m quiet cannabis naive so just wanting some clarification if anybody else has this issue. Thanks in advance!

Happy new year
You can get used to each strain where they don’t work as well as they should this is called strain lock.
You are better off using a few different strains for different effects and different terpines.
The more your body gets used to cannabis though your tolerance levels will be higher

As @JR52 says you get used to them and it's nice to have an alternative so you can chop and change over the month and I know this can add to expense but in the long run you only use the same amount only more effectively .
For me personally the first week with a strain I usually find really effective but this will wane if I use the same strain each day or night ,If I can replace this with another strain I tend to get that honeymoon period again for say a week and then swap back and forth so effectively only using the same amount but having to by extra one month so I could have the chance interchange them.
Over the past Year I tend to get between 4 and 6 different strains per month also as your at Cannabis Clinic Cardiff you can get the smaller weight sizes and this will make this a lot easier /cheaper for you to get a selection without any issue .
If it's nearly time for your next script and you want help showing your options as you have all options really and help with what people are finding effective that's no prob mate.

Lets us know what you had the first month @Jumpysuperset as in amount and strains and we'll see if we can find alternatives for you to look at ,I myself suffer anxiety so have a grasp of what's needed there and my sleep tends to not be a problem as long as my anxiety is kept in check but I use Higher THC in the evening to make sure of sleep .Also I'm always looking for the cheaper but effective options myself so if I can help I will (y)

Hey sorry for the late reply I wasn’t on my phone much the last two days.
I was prescribed ChemDawg OG 26% THC 1% CBD and Humble warrior 15% THC 1% CBD

I was looking into Hindu Kush and LA confidential for my nighttime strain may try and drop the oil as I have not found the helpful at all really and maybe get two night time strains and a day time strain.

I could use some good day time strain suggestions, the humble warrior was okay but feel it wasn’t 100% what I needed.

Thanks for the reply, seems I may need a few different strains to change it up a little bit

In the daytime I tend to use something like these two and at £5.90/g and £6.50/g there not too expensive ,the high silver being mildly sedating whilst the delahaze less so

It’s worthwhile looking at how cannabis works in your body, so you can understand how to medicate best for you ❤️

The bio active podcast is a great resource online, female cannabis Dr in the USA who is involved in research non profits.

Just looking and the daytime strain you had is Sativa where as the two I suggested are Sativa Hybrids so shouldn't in theory be such a soaring high and a bit more relaxing .

Yeah it’s not too heavy hitting but don’t think it’s the best one for me so I will try something else maybe a Sativa Hybrid would be better :)

They are very traditional strains and the ones that brought many people to Cannabis because of there effects .
Just filling my final forms as I've been accepted at Your clinic today 😁

Yeah I had a read around and decided on these two for this month and see how they go! 😊 Oh really? What brought on the change of clinics? They are really good! Can’t fault them at all and there communication with patients is brilliant, reply to e-mails and questions same day.

A Christmas mess up with my script and I wanted a better choice to try and keep costs down (y)

Well you’ll have to let me know how your experience is with them 😊 I’m sure you will be happy with the process it’s very good!
A few others here are there too and speak very highly so I'm pretty confident and it's why I suggest to others when asked ,I suppose where you see good you have to amplify it but the same also applies to bad practice and that' s when we moan and amplify that in the hope it changes .

Well your suggestion was definitely why I went to them, I hadn’t heard of them until you had mentioned it so thank you for that! Oh absolutely like I highlighted my experience with CB1 Medical and I know they have been great for some and my partner is with them and happy with the service but the consultant replied to me personally about my eligibility and responded directly as well as the admin team so the communication there is so good! So definitely let me know how you get on!
