Vapes (VAS) Vape Acquisition Syndrome

I'm not super experienced with cart batteries but I've no complaints . I had the Aurora® Sourdough which I found extremely useful for intermitted sleep and having ait at the side of my bed to save having to get up, go down stairs, prep a bowl or mess about with the Mighty half asleep etc..
Have you been temp-stepping, and do you find you get better terp flavours if you do? Or are the carts not subtle enough for that?

Did you collect them for the bottles or the scents? I know lots of people who enjoy the bottle shapes of perfumes and things like that.

I'm a certified S&B Hater, I think they were good 5 years ago but not anymore. Have you thought about a Venty at all?

For me the portability build benefit of their devices get negated hugely by non-removable batteries. why build something Hike proof if I cant take it hiking for more than like 4 hours?

The TM2 is my daily driver, I love it. I drop it all the time as well and nothing has ever broken. I do use a metal stem when I'm out though. Or I just use my trusty Dynavap. Through water it's a godsend, I absolutely love it. I think it's the best on the market (or was given what I'm reading about the Frolic recently).
I've just typed in YouTube, "MOAB vs WOHW" and the first thing that came up was, "S & B Volcano Killer !
Thought of you :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Found it was absolutely great at 2.2v.. terpenes were really good - hadn't tasted anything quite like it for some time ! Reminded me of 1st trip to the Dam all those years ago..
That's just helped me to decide on the Uni Pro 3 over the Ziva, so thanks for that! I like the metal chassis on the Ziva, plus the invisibility of the cart, but the Uni Pro looks a lot easier for temp stepping 👌🏻

After using a Solo 2 daily for seven years (still going strong but I fancied trying something new) I upgraded to a walnut Tinymight 2 this year. Wow, that thing hits the spot! Other than the short battery life, I can't fault it. Oh, and as @williemed says, there's all the pretty glass baubles and fancy bits and bobs which HAVE to be collected forever after.

The best investment I've made for it though is a little basket screen which was only about a quid from Vapefiend. It holds a small enough amount to vape evenly without having to stir it, and does an amazing job of keeping the glass tubes clean and mostly free of those horrible gunky particles which are always so hard to clean out.

One weird thing is that I haven't found any benefit in temperature-stepping with the Tinymight. It seems to extract all the goodness at whatever temperature you set it at, so after a few puffs it's spent.

For the scents. The hobby is in training your nose, I guess - a bit like sampling wine or terpenes. I gave it up once I a) ran out of room and b) snagged a bottle of a many-years discontinued unicorn. Seemed like a good time to move on to something else and I've still got enough fragrance to keep me smelling sweet for the next 15 years 😆

Hikeability is big factor here, in terms of battery life and durability. A metal stem for the TM2 could be a game-changer, for me - thanks for the heads-up about that. I'm not a huge fan of S&B, per se. The advantage of the Mighty+ Medic is that it's HO-approved, so it's as legal as legal can be. It looks less like a weed device than the TM2, as well. I can see me being a cart user in public, generally. Hiking is possibly the exception to that rule - there's something about flower which is nice in nature, especially with sparklier strains. Lucy in the Sky sounds like hiking dreambud.

My Crafty+ needs regular cleaning, by soaking - the TM2 sounds easier to clean than S&B devices - that plus the price of the Venty is why it hasn't really been a consideration, to be honest.

I came up with a better way to clean the S&B gear I think - not trying to talk you out of another machine, but just in case it helps

Separate the head parts (don't have to take the gauze out with this method) - so top of head, bottom of head, and mouthpiece, and put them in the sink

Spray isopropyl liberally in/on/around the parts and let it sit for 5 minutes

Kettle of off-boil water poured all over - watch the greeney brown water leave, dry and reassemble

It must be a natural path, I too came from the solo 2! 🙏😄 wonderful devices aren’t they, the tinymight? And yes you are right perhaps the only “drawback” is my new obsession with accessories! I recently discovered the glass Charlie stems, they are truly works of art and excellent functionally too! 😻 the battery life could be longer you are right there too but the hot swappable batteries more than makes up for it I think!

@williemed I agree, the Glass Charlie stems are beautiful. A bit too beautiful really, I couldn't decide whether I liked the sparkly black one or the red one best, so you can guess what happened. 😂 I've got the shorty ones with the single coloured glass ball – they are incredibly comfortable to use and the amount of cooling you get in such a short tube is amazing. I do love the Tinymight, and in fairness the battery life is an unavoidable trade-off given that it can zap the living daylights out of your herb within a few seconds. I'm a bit of a lightweight so I'm able to get a few sessions out of a battery charge, and as you say they are easy to swap.

Ooh! If I ever actually get a script and have cause to dig out my Crafty+, I'll give that a go. Top tip, thanks 😊
