You know those days or weeks or sometimes even months when its a struggle to lift yourself out of your pit of depression and do something ever so simple like eat, or get up and go for a shower, or simply just communicate with the people around you?

Well unfortunately i do, and I think it would be very benificial for anybody in the same situation to have a nice dedicated thread on strains people have found to help them with shaking that frame of mind, strains with uplifting anti depressant effects.

I've started noticing lately that strong lemon profiles seem to help my mood and give me nice energy and a more uplifted frame of mind, im not sure if this is to do with those certain terpines doing something in my brain to receptors that help with depression or if its just been a coincidence that the last few lemons ive tried have just worked well for me mentally and its nothing to do with the terpenes?

Or it could just be making me happier because I have always loved lemon flavored weeds so I automatically get happier when Im using them..?

Anyway the point is i think ive found that lemon profiles seem to do something beneficial to my frame of mind and im very interested in what everyone else has found works for them.

✌️

I don't have depression, but for uplifting I like Sativa leaning Hybrids like Haze crosses. I look for strains with terpinolene ( or Limone.

Examples I tried: Britz, Blue Dream, Haymaker Haze, Kim's Sweet Disel, Modified Gas, Union Jack Herer, White Hot Guava.

In the end the reason it works doesn't matter, even placebo, but for me I try to see patterns in what i like with regards to the taste/smell, terp's, THC/CBD balance etc. so I can focus in on certain strains instead of being random.

Atomic sour grapefruit,Georgia pie, peanut butter souffle, sudz and pave are all mood lifting for me.
There are loads more as well. It is a good idea to have a few different strains each day and to keep changing them when you order as well

I think candy store may be worth a look. For me it gives pure energy and good vibes, with no anxiety, raciness, or any of that.

Each to their own though. I see @JR52 mention Georgia Pie and that stuff makes me feel like I have been condemned to an eternity in the pits of hell 😂

As far as I can remember Limonene is generally thought of to be uplifting and mood enhancing though so you may be right there.

As someone who struggles with depression these may help;

Ultra sour
Jokerz
Peace Naturals® Wedding Cake
Wedding pop triangle
Pink kush

These are a few that are currently helping me, I use what I want when required nothing specific for a time of day although the wedding cake and pink kush is good for getting a sleep. I've been off my meds for around 8 months now purely medicating with cannabis and to be honest its definitely helping but I find your circumstances/surroundings play a huge factor as well. I was using BM for 23 years previous to being on medical though so I'm far from new to cannabis but MC is interestingly a bit different to BM as there is way more variety now and thats why its great to have a place like this to discuss it all 🤘 🥳

I can recommend 2 upbeat strains which don't fall into the anxious side:
Electric Honeydew - Really well balanced a bit more of an Indica but quick at relieving any symptoms.
Chemstar - Recently got this much more of an upbeat Sativa but important for me it doesn't have Limonene!
Personally i'm sensitive to Limonene so it can put my into some anxious racing thoughts so I was happy to find a strain without any that is still upbeat.

The only downside with how the setup is now is that you have to buy 10g at a time, I keep a log of what I have look into the terpene profiles and try and pinpoint what works for me at what time of the day.
