Try a pre-warm. I put just enough pressure on that you can't move the paper/puck and let pre heat for 90 seconds. Also at lower temps I press for longer.

Cheers, i did a light 20 sec press as the pre warm, possibly a bit too hard. How long do you press for at the lower temps?

So next test:
180 3.5g bubble bath, 20 secs very light press, 30 secs press, 30 secs full press 90 micron = .12g
180 3.5g bubble bath, 20 secs very light press, 30 secs press, 30 secs full press 120 micron = .26g
7gramms bubble to .38g = 5.5% yield = aweful!!!

So the higher previous temp gave way more, and the 120 micron gives nearly double.

I am going to wait for you all to post your temps, times, how hard you press and what bud before i do more as 7 - 13% yield is bad. We should be getting around 20% - i have now tried 3 buds.

All of mine has come out way to dark i feel, or is that the quality bud i have used?!

Pretty much why I'm hesitant at the mo especially without bags and each time I have done it the yield has been so so , I'm going to boveda 5g of Og kush overnight and try tomorrow and take it from there but I hope in the long run to get pretty near the THC content in yield so say 20% yield of 24% flower

I have some OG Kush with boveda 62% so post what you do and I will replicate or tweak over the weekend.

Try joining some of the groups and seeing what expected return is, some flowers give up their fruits mor freely than others. Also be wary of increasing yield at the cost of quality, there are waxy lipids etc that can be forced out due to excess heat or pressure etc. Lots of variables, my sole aim is to get the quality and consistency I desire so I don't even look at yields, would upset me too much

I'm thinking a lot is just getting it to right temperature to release the resin and I imagine that just comes with experience but the cost involved will make us all quick learners I reckon

I maxed the pressure, hence my dark colour! But hard to get right for us I guess. Also the irradiated is probably affecting my yield, but I ain't putting the pink kush non irradiated in until I perfect it!
Oh the dab in the mighty was beautiful KKMint next level taste and effects wise, so not a bad effort.

My sentiments about the better quality stuff exactly! I'll also say I've only tried bits so far and if doing 5g or more I'll try and set it up so I could if possible see the moment where it starts to flow making judging it that much easier hopefully.

Had a look yesterday, to see where the Twist was with separate Titanium bowl which I bought separately. The Bowl was on a flight to the uk and the Twist on a . Phew looked again last night and there was a tracking error on the Twist and both items are on a jet plane on their way to the UK
