I've been told with the microdosing bowl with good flower 250 should be as much as is needed so I started at that and after the first bit sound ,but when I cleared the rest out it was an eye waterer with a slight wetting round the nostrils and I actually did find that Chugga needed a fair pull through it but I've nothing to compare to .
Now for something a bit funkier than Kush Cookies . And a lower temp as second the second bit was a bit toasty maybe.

I was using the bigger bowl, I'll give it a go at a lower temp when I'm ready for another one

I'm going to try a lower temp but because of the flower as a base, I think 250 maybe too low, I'll give it a go

This is the microdosing bowl I'm using so the flower is right next to the heat . It'll be different temps using different bits.

After experimenting with temps 250 to 320 i am sticking for now with RVS's recommended 275 on the micro bowl, it gives me clouds, but can still taste the terpenes, but mainly lower does not appear to hit me the same. I bought the ruby to run much higher than the mighty for the missing bit of the hit, I am seaking that rounded hit from the bud you get with a spliff/bong and after 2 nights I am getting that hit with the ruby, no other vape has done this for me.

Does anyone have a Ruby Twist and what are they like for taste and vapour, can you actually taste the flower strain. I only come across one on YouTube yesterday and wondered if they are worth the money?

When @Dooby Doo started this thread with asking about the Ruby Twist who would have thought we would be this many pages deep now! This thread has got me into heat pressing rosin which is a revelation, has taught me about dabbing another revelation and now I have the Ruby Twist and a proper dabbing set up! What a journey!

For those reading this thread and asking is the Ruby Twist worth it, well yes it really is, nothing I have tried compares, this is blissful vaping at another level entirely.

For me now with hindsight:

Pax Plus £150 waste of money.

Mighty + £250 + £50 in parts and spares say £300 happy with it as a portable, but could not go above 185c without a tickle and slight burn, will keep as a portable.

The Ruby: £190 + £100 in glass (chugga bong and attachments) say £300 all in for vaping perfection.

Dabbing: making your own rosin from bud: Heat press and accessories £300

Dabbing: doing it cost £45 for terp slurp glass attachment, 84 blow torch, 20 temp gun £150 all in. (The temp gun is not needed you can time the heating and cooling periods lots of YouTube video's on it, but for 20 quid for me it's made dabbing temps easier, eventually I will not need it but still experimenting with temps at present).

This thread has cost me 300 for Ruby gear, 300 rosin gear, and 150 dabbing gear. £750 to arrive at the ultimate answers. So far!

As much as anything we've sort of empowered ourselves to improve our experience and help keep costs lower from this point on as the meds are more effective so hopefully some of the outlay can be recouped that way in meds savings but also the cost of gaming computer or iphone nowadays and this is for health so put in that context but hopefully time to relax and enjoy for a bit as we fine tune this beast also talk of rubys has even more pages in another thread from early on before @Dooby Doo started this thread!

Do think if people get a ruby twist early on it could save them a lot in the long run trying to find a suitable vape and could even get to the point of just using the ruby and carts/pens for some and it'll be interesting to see how the nicotine goes @Moon as I.ve been having a couple a day at least recently but it's not on my mind at all at the moment .

Last night I only had 1 rollie spliff, this is a big improvement and i only had that out of habit before bed, did not need it on a stoning level really.

Got take care of the lungs mate and have been advised we can always raise temps but not bring our lungs back and I had a bad experience the first time making rosin and we fucked up trying to inhale it and all nearly ripped our lungs out and this was about 20 years ago so when I was warned this week about temps it sort of reminded me of past exploits and another thing when doing isolates it's best to mix with flower to give the balanced effect associated with canna that enhances/balances it and I think they are going to recommend this on their packaging in future

275 degrees seems like wow to me at this moment and 250 was excessive but I'm not even thinking clouds even though I get them but the terpenes and effects at lower temps are lovely at mo (Mango)and is going lower on the next 240 say but this is a mild strain THC wise but my normal start to the day just more pleasant and a bit heavier.

I am also noticing that some of what i call cheap daytime buds come alive with the Ruby, to the point i feel bad about my original opinions on some of these buds now. Last night I did the Pave S1 in the Ruby and it hit another level of taste and hit entirely, it was wonderful.

We must each do what is best for us and our health. I'm nearly 65 and was brought up on hot knives in the 70s, lifelong smoker, my lungs are fucked, I cough so much after a mighty, but honestly I have not coughed once on the Ruby at 275, so it's fulfilled my hopes on that level.

I was really worried about the turp slurp at 260c but it was even smoother than the Ruby, but only run Nevs wedding cake and Jokers Candy though it so far, both of which were incredible clouds and taste and hit with and left no markings at all on the terp slurp. Today I will press some of my wedding cake bud and compare to Nevs, for fun!

Higher temps are a higher high, good for night time or if in lots of pain, or insomnia.

I am also noticing that some of what i call cheap daytime buds come alive with the Ruby, to the point i feel bad about my original opinions on some of these buds now. Last night I did the Pave S1 in the Ruby and it hit another level of taste and hit entirely, it was wonderful.

I was waiting for someone to mention the cheaper flower, the ruby brings out the best in it and it doesn't feel like cheaper flower.
