Thought i would start a thread on the Arizer Solo ranges.
I have had this portable device Solo 3 V1 for nearly a week, it will be my 4th portable in 5/6 years and its definitely the best portable I have had so far without a doubt. I did think the Xmax was a decent portable until I lost it 🙃.
For tasting your MC this is the best device I have experienced so far on my Journey, tasting my medication is very important to me, I don't like the popcorn taste when it lingers on which I get from metal capsules full on shortly after the nice tasting experience, this device the popcorn taste doesn't come through until your ready to finnish what you have put into your glass tube, all glass is making a huge positve difference to my vaping experience. I did notice overloading the tubes the popcorn taste will come through sooner if you don't finnish the tube off, by heating and reheating.
I have noticed you can buy the glass spacers for the tubes, I found these because I thought it would be more efficient having a glass capsule, tidiness and more precise dosing rather than sucking up the flower from the Grinder/mill through the tube to load, the glass spacers look even better for this device.

Great idea. 8) As you know I recently dug out my 3 V1 and it's in daily use with Tempests and dry glass 8)

For easy stem and screen cleaning I use a clear acrylic cigar type tube with screw cap and fill with ISO, overnight, warm soapy wash and rinse = as new. Can be got from Amazon, Med sized and bigger that fit the Rattler type chunky stems. The Arizer tubes and caps have a hole in the bottom! Various sizes here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C65KBZV8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

PS the caps are not ISO proof they leak - how do I know? ...

Great advice 👍 I've not got around to cleaning the stems ect yet only the chamber but I have plenty of iso so it shouldn't be a problem cleaning my stems, i have a ring of different sized mini brushes to help.
I see the Solo 2 glass tubes also fits the 3, some people are trying to charge more for the Solo 3 stems because its a Solo 3 when they are universal 😅.
I have clear stems of different sizes and pearl/ruby cooling stems and i have the connections i need for the Tabletop Bong, thats another device i haven't tried this Solo 3 out on yet but can imagine so far when I do what it will be like 🔥. I've still got some playing around to do with it but getting there 👍

Glad you're enjoying it! I love Arizer devices.

For me the Arizer range is all about glass air path and it felt a waste to add capsules to that and change the taste.

A couple of years back I learned of the rubber stem caps. If you grab a few stems, you can load your herb in and cap them so you've basically got glass dosing caps for on the go.

I've not seen the spacers but they seem handy as well.

Here's them glass spacers mate 👍

solo3 v2 here (black one) and i swear by this. it was worth the upgrade from the 2 and the price difference is actually noticeable
solo2 is like having the decent car.
solo 3 is the same car, but improved and i cant work out how or why

i love the fact i get the stems dirty and then make stem milk before just putting them in iso overnight

I'm enjoying the V1 but if I was ready to upgrade again I would go for the V2. I'm just looking around for some more stems, the one's I have are straight stems some with beads some without and are 90mm, I'm going for the bent stems next with the extra length, I think they are 110mm and the other type of stem, rocket 👍

Thought i would share my pic of my new stems for the Solo3, the stems on the right are the standard stems, on the left are the long stems, a huge difference, the new tubes have a wider tube on them but obviously narrower on the filling end to fit the device, i will try one in a bit.
The spacers for the tubes in the snap bag are different thinknesses for various amounts of flower for the stems, microses.

I will mate, the spacers are excellent but a bit expensive and work great.
I got the new stems from aliexpress, good quality, fit great. The 2 longer stems were around £6/7 each £20+ each elsewhere, the smaller bent one with coloured beads was £3/4 they are normally around £12/15 or more.

Excellent, I've just tried the extra long bent stem and the extra long straight stem, both work well, i did use the glass spacers and they work well in the stems, saves any bits falling onto the heating element, nothing worse tasting burnt bits if they fall on the heating element.

They do make a difference 8) I have a few spacers but my moist herb tends to clump nicely by itself. The bits! I blow through the rear air intake at the end of the day, I found it reduces the burnt bits somewhat, turn it on max when empty and watch the smoke rise, I do that before using also as it seems to reduce some of the early harshness.

Yeah I've found that spacers are not really needed with moisture in the flower. I tend to break small bits off rather than grinding the flower up, it helps keep the bud in the chamber too. I'm still experimenting with everything and enjoying 👍

Try this, don't put too much in, after a grind say fill bowl half full, now pack it. Not too tight but just enough for it not to fall out

Now don't use on demand straight away. Give it a 1 minute on 160 to just warm up.

Now consume how ever you want. It'll free pathway up after you've packed it with the heat.

Thanks mate, much appreciated 👍

@OldBloke I'm still having issues with this device, it heats but won't go to the higher temps I want, it cuts out when trying to up the temps saying error 5 or will say error 8. Seems to be stuck on Pre Heat?
I have contacted the person I bought it from, they have given me the receipt, they bought it on Amazon from Smartpipe Trading. I'm not sure where to start. I bought it from ebay with buyer protection, i have the original receipt from the seller?

Errors 5 is usually a battery problem with Arizers, error 8 may be a circuit or heater coil issue,it should not be reporting that so soon in it's life. . So a choice between emailing Arizer and seeing if they will help, many parts have a 2 yr warranty but not the battery pack as its classed as a consumable. They may not as used and bought from Ebay. Or try the seller, but you may be ignored... so ebay system or paypal, credit card if no go.

If it was me I'd try Arizer asap first, with photos of the errors and all details, good luck!

The battery seems to be ok, I think its the heating element of sort.

Don't buy the small bent beaded Solo stems from Aliexpress, on inspection at one end of the tube, its sealed off properly to keep the beads in, the mouthpiece end, is not blocked off securely and they have just shoved some loose gause to keep the beads in!!!
I reported the issue directly with Aliexpress and received a refund automatically but I see they are still selling them but a bit cheaper after me raising its a chocking Hazard!!
