My progression through portable vapes has been:
Magic Flight -> PAX 3 -> Mighty -> Mighty+
The Magic Flight's beautiful simplicity cannot be overlooked. I put off trying cannabis for years because I didn't want to smoke it, finally a friend bought one of these to try, and suddenly there was an entry-level way for me into the cannabis vaping world. Really fantastic little vape for what it is, and lifetime warranty even if you break it through stupidity. Downside is that is does require some skill to use effectively, because the vapor quality is so highly dependent on your draw speed. Slightly too slow and you CAN potentially combust, too fast and you're getting nothing but fresh air, and the goalposts constantly shift depending on the quality of the bud and the amount of vaping it's been through already. For that reason, can be harsh on the throat. Bubbler attachments reduce the harshness, but also make it more likely you'll accidentally combust as there's less feedback through a whip/bubbler. Could be a little fiddly too, with its small size, and the grinders that go with it are very difficult to manipulate. Get used to breaking and replacing glass straws and stripping the plastic jacket off rechargeable batteries.
PAX 3 I couldn't really gel with at all. The chamber is so ridiculously small, it seemed to give off very little vapour before needing to be swapped, the chamber itself is fiddly to set up, and the device is so small the battery life is awful. It tries too hard to be discrete at the expense of vapour quality and battery life. As a BM user, it didn't hold enough charge or bud to be useful, an as an
MC user I don't need THAT level of discretion and I'm not willing to sacrifice much for it.
Mighty/Mighty+ are fantastic. Consistent behaviour, clean cool draw, zero possibility of combustion, excellent battery life compared to competitors, easy maintenance, backed by proper studies (well, the medic version anyway). Downside is the price, but based on my limited experience, it
is the best you can get for dry herb.
