Hi Folks, glad to join the community, and thanks for the hard work of those who built and continue to develop MedBud

I had my second prescription delivered today from Mamedica Pharmacy but one of multiple items was missing, and there's no indication on the invoice or anything that it was missing intentionally. I've tried calling and using different options - Pharmacy on hold an hour so I I hung up, others answered after a shorter wait but couldn't tell me without checking with the pharmacy.

As a new patient myself, whilst the process has generally been smooth I've noticed things here and there in addition to this example suggesting they may be a bit overstretched and a few things are slipping? I know there's been recent media coverage and adverts, so assume lots of new sign-ups (including me!)

Just wondering what the consensus was - trying to withold judgement and understand if it's a temporary thing (essentially good because it means more people are getting access to the medicine they need) which might be frustrating but really nothing to worry about in the long run, or if there are some things they just don't do so well...

That's pretty much how it got sorted earlier, during a call I said I wouldn't make :)
Ahh, I'm starting to get the feeling I may be enjoying the 45 minute call queue more often than I had hoped. After getting the invoice sorted and paid, I got a niggly thought in my mind along the lines of 'hmmm, if the script could fail and no one contact me about it, could the dispatch also fail and no one tell me?'
So I gave them a ring again, just to settle my doubts, good job too...another issue lol. One of the strains was slightly wrong on the invoice and the correct one needed another tenner from me. So another invoice sent and paid. Just waiting to see what happens now.
The staff seem lovely and genuine but I don't have a lot of faith in their IT systems right now.

Looks like your instincts have been right so far, let's hope that's the last obstacle. Your getting me worried now as just had my prescription rewrote and am expecting new invoice in a couple of days. Also agree about the staff .

To balance it out I've been on Mamedica, sometimes thinking the same about what other pharmacies have , so some times you've gotta weigh up the pro's and cons. Also with the amount of strains around at the moment I'd imagine the choice has expanded across all formulary's ,but I don't know, and 15 sounds pretty limited . I'd struggle picking from that .

I'd jump if there's only 15.

Mamedica have their own formulary too, but it's a much longer list. If you follow this link to their repeat prescription list (don't fill out the form) just tick Yes or No to the question 'Do you need to increase/decrease dosage?' and the list will appear below.

If you open one of the item dropdowns you can see what Mamedica have available to order at any one time. This might help you decide?

"You are currently caller number 12" :(. The new login doesn't work right now, no info, so calling to find out when, where, etc.

I'd imagine he meant from consultation to vape, I know waiting for your first script is a nightmare it felt like it for me lol, but in hindsight it probably was about 5 working days, The sooner you get that invoice the better, as this'll be the last step of the process from your end, my first prescription was sent out the day I paid for it .

I guess you could say they inconvenienced you. :ROFLMAO:

2 years ago was a differant story , ts only the last 12 months that the medication around has been so extensive , prior to that everyone struggled with choice

Yes I saw the prices before i joined and tillray was over a tenner per gram iirc and the choice was poor, As i came on to medical cannabis i think there was a big influx of patients and as strains like farm gas etc started to become available it seemed more and more new strains kept coming , then about spring this year it seemed choices reduced and the cost of my prescription rose ,the choice now is the opposite end of the scale for me ,too many to chose from.

I received an email yesterday asking me to use th repeat prescription portal for the first time. Today another email asked me not to use the repeat portal until after my second appointment 🤣 you can't make this up.
