Ok everyone, a couple of questions for you.

I am with Mamedica® and am due my 2nd consult in a couple of weeks (this is the one after about a month of use), after this i will be able to get repeats without consults. If i want to change my prescription details, eg to have more 'mg's, should i wait until my consult and ask, or should i do it now as i know it can take a few days to be agreed by the 'powers that be'?
The other question is about getting your flower from another pharmacy, if you want something that Mamedica doesn't stock - i have been told various things about this, yes its possible, no its not possible....so ultimately i have no clue? If i can do this, how do i actually do it?
Sorry if these are rather dafty questions, but i can't find the answers anywhere else.

Thanks x

I would wait until my consultation and request my limits be changed then and they should be able to make that effective straight away (y)

You can request items from another pharmacy and when I was a patient their I did this by phone to make sure it was clear but they will only prescribe out of stock from their formulary items or items that are in stock with them but cheaper elsewhere is a possibility too but this does come with a £10 admin fee unfortunately.

Thanks for that - i think i will wait until my consult to change amounts then.

I mean there is no harm in ringing ahead if it puts your mind at ease but any request at the consult should be able to be actioned pretty quickly as you have already been accepted and passed a MDT meeting (y)

similar situation but 12 months on. just lowered some of my NHS meds so im wanting to increase limits at Mamedica®. didnt want to create issues with my latest prescription so ive done that for thurs and then will enquire after that
