They've now stated in two seperate emails that they're aware of the issues and at the same time there are no known issues.

They've confirmed parcels are being sent out despite the posts online suggesting no updates since yesterday morning payments.

They've confirmed for sure they're aware of the issue, still waiting for them to accept any kind of responsibility but my tracking has updated slightly so I'm a bit less annoyed than I was.

I told them that sometimes accepting responsibility when it's not your fault is the correct thing to do, especially in healthcare. Try and support your patients in finding solutions rather than trying to abstain from blame.

I'm glad you got something out of it, how long did it take your meds to arrive? I think mine will show up today going off the tracking.

I actually filed a complaint against Royal Mail Policies, citing that recipients are paying for the service, so should be able to raise complaints if SLAs are missed.

The Special Delivery postie turned up the next day and told me that he can't deliver by 1 pm because he's too busy and usually has a 2-3 day backlog at his flat. I told him to keep an eye out for my address because it's medication, and I plan delivery for when I know I'm working from home.

Funnily enough it showed up as I was on the phone to them but my postie said it wasn't in a special delivery bag it was in a normal first class bag by itself which he thought was weird for a SD parcel.

Medicann have said they're reviewing Royal Mail but in the testing they've done RM are the most reliable (I agree) and they're pressing their account managers at RM for answers on what has been happening.

So not as useless as I thought in the end!

That’s totally illegal for the postman to have undelivered post at his property wtf that’s a serious matter

my postie sometimes has to sign for me because he won’t make it by 1 but that’s coz iv told him to
as he would get like a black mark otherwise and always have same postie or stand in one and rather they sign as long as it’s coming and not there fault can’t always get here for then
they don’t arrive with the normal post till around 1 some days and we only have one delivery a day and he brings everything

and as gets closer to any holidays probably they would have to send out a separate van to get it to me by 1 as 25 mile round trip from the depot so happy to let him take the pic as trust them thankfully… but if they don’t deliver stuff they have to take it back the depot it’s totally illegal to have it at his home was he being serious??

I wouldn’t want anything other than Royal Mail unless one of others trusted like dpd or fedx as can’t trust ones like everi and yodal it may not be my local depot but too much stuff goes missing
And even with Royal Mail i used to watch people open pallets of missing mail as address damaged and stuff I wonder if those guys are starting to find parcels of weed as they probably cut it out the video where I live it’s washed up on the beach loads of times

Yeah I don't think I've ever heard of it before, I wonder if there's some motive that makes it look like they've all be delivered on time.

My postie takes stuff home but I've known him years. So we've always agreed he can sign for things and then drop them round later if I'm not in.

Totally against the rules but super convenient for me and in fairness a completely different situation.

Not their fault, but even under normal contract law, without getting into extra provisions for medical, you have made a contract with Medican / IPS when you paid. They have indicated to you their nominated sub-contractor during the process, but it is their relationship, and their responsbility to manage that sub-contractor as it relates to the nature of the contract.

If someone knows that medicine law trumps this somehow feel free to shoot me down and share but, in short, if their courier does not fulfil, it's their problem and their responsiblity for any losses involved, whether that's refunds or replacements for anything which doesn't come. It can not be their fault but be their responsbility at the same time.

I had my reservations about their operating model generally, but appreciate you sharing this as even the sniff of not taking ownership is a black mark that doesn't come off for me. I had been recommending them to patients without the means to pay clinic fees, but I'll stop that now

Glad you got it sorted, delayed parcels are one thing I’m not looking forward to, especially because the Royal Mail collection office is always closed at annoying hours.

Having a collection locker option might be useful, but I’m guessing they require the parcels to always be signed for since it’s medication and usually quite expensive.

I used to work for quite a big company in the UK for 7+ years and have dealt with every carrier in the UK. I think Royal Mail is the best option even though they can be really bad especially during Christmas time.

DPD are the best, but they are quite expensive and usually only deal with high value stuff.

I’ve had to look into thousands of investigations with these couriers and you wouldn’t believe half the stuff Evri, Yodel etc get up to.

Also assuming they have handed the parcels to the courier there isn’t much else you can do but raise and investigation and they can take 3-5 working days sometimes.

I really think we should be able to see when a batch expires and/or if it’s been discounted before we purchase it.

Seems crazy to me you can order something and it could go out of date very soon without you knowing. Unless you’re keeping track of all the strains you wouldn’t know if it’s been reduced due to the expiry date.

Not my usual posty and new guy didn't want to take a signature which I questioned and told him it was a legal requirement, checked again and Yes he'd did need a signature. Ahh okay, that is a useful thread, thank you. Yeah I guess if they have a few different batches it would be hard for them to give the expiry beforehand.

I think they should at least show if a product has been reduced in price so people have an idea though.

It’s cool that people on here and helping. But IMO the pharmacy should have more info. For instance, Medicann show the traceability for products on script assist, but you can only see it after you’ve placed the order.

They always use the excuse that "the property was inaccessible". Each time I had a Medicann delivery due, I'd take a photo out of my window just before 1 pm to show that there were no issues, and the "delivery attempts" that happened minutes before 1 pm were fake. After the third complaint, complete with photos, they obviously called the depot to investigate because the postie was straight round to see me.
