Site Updates Public BETA: MedBud's Master Formulary (Advanced Filters for All Medications)

General updates on development of the MedBud platform as a whole.
Now launched in Public BETA for testing and feedback.

We're incredibly proud today to announce the public BETA for what we expect to be the single best tool and most used page across our platform moving forward. MedBud's Master Formulary provides advanced filtering and sorting for all CBPM medications available in the UK, as published on our database. Filtering is currently available for the following fields:
  • Medication Format (Flower, Oils etc.)
  • Availability Status (Main Distributor)
  • Dispensing Pharmacies (Currently Limited to Whatever is on their Formulary, Regardless of In/Out of Stock)
  • Package Price
  • Pence Per Milligram (THC/CBD)
  • THC/CBD
  • Classification (Indica/Sativa)
  • Strains/Cultivars (Including Parent Strains)
  • Irradiation
  • Cultivation Country
  • Packaging Country
  • Brand
  • Producer
  • Expiry Date (Where Known)

We've temporarily stripped back several more advanced features which are still in development, because we feel it's important we get a working version of the tool up as soon as possible for all patients and clinicians - as it's such a vast improvement on our current systems.

Still to follow:
  • Alternate row-based view, more akin to traditional tables on MedBud.
  • Tabs on the grid-based view, showing further details on lineage, terpene profiles, stock levels et cetera.
  • Various other improvements highlighted by our @BETA Testers group which we'll fully document shortly.
Known Issues:
  • Placeholder

We now have a secondary development copy which will be used by our @BETA Testers group to help us finalise our remaining planned features, before they're launched on the main public version of our Master Formulary.

Any and all feedback greatly appreciated 🙌

It is indeed, the next steps for MedBud 2.0 are even harder - as I force our database CMS to play nice with our forum software to create a unified login. All pages on MedBud 2.0 (and the next version of the forum) contain live feeds for forum posts, new listings, edited, pharmacy formulary changes, new YouTube videos, latest price drops etc.

The idea is a single unified community system, with an amazing cross-device UI (after so long being mostly desktop only!).

I've been a PHP/MySQL dev for literally 20 years now, MedBud is certainly a labour of love.

Modifiy one or other to use the one login db (or table) or create same hashed password on initial signup(no idea of sys in place!)? Have vague memories of doing this back in the olden days when 0's were ZEROS! and 1's were ONES! :ROFLMAO:

There's different password hashing algorithms between the databases, so they're not interchangeable like that natively.

Login authentification will be solely handled by the forum, and same time the forum session is created, a parallel session will be automatically created on the database. When signing up to the forum, a database account will also be created too. Then the database login gets rewired and plugged up to the forum login behind the scenes.

Effectively you log in on either, you're logged into both at once seamlessly. This also gives us the ability to have things like 'login with Google/Facebook/Apple' etc too.

When live, those whom previously just had database accounts will need to set a new password for the forum-based login - we'll send out a mass email at the time.

Not been well for a few days and came back to use formulary and blown away by the quality and sheer amount of work that has gone into it.

A massive thank you and I really appreciate having such a professional tool to make comparing and ordering easier. I can see it is also having a practical benefit regarding more competitive prices from pharmacies.

Seriously , well done.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
