Clinics Medicann UK

Thought I would share my experience of Medicann so far. I am new to the legal medical cannabis business. I initially contacted Medicann on 14th August. The process so far has been very difficult. I understand that their customer service would be inferior to others as there are no costs other than the medical cannabis. What I have realised is that the service is extremely basic. There is no customer service really, no phone number to contact if you are not sure of the process. Also The app is not great. The app is not designed well and is very limited in its ability. I was asked to do things in there that the app wouldn’t let me which was very frustrating! My biggest issue is the customer service. You can only access them via email and when you do email them they don’t help to guide you/give you the information needed to understand and navigate the app which is not the easier to navigate. It is very basic! They could easily give you step by step instructions, but choose not to for some reason. I have now been accepted and am awaiting my first phone call with a doctor. This in itself was strange as the app asked me to choose a doctor without giving me any background or information on them. I don’t feel very confident about this company so far but will reserve judgement until I have been through the whole process and received my medication. I will update once I have had the initial phone call.

I moved to Medicann (from CB1 Medical) this week, it took 3 days to be accepted and have a consultation with their doctor who was clear, concise and helpful. My prescription was authorised within the hour and was delivered in less than 24 hours after placing my order.
The thing that impressed me the most was the packaging, Firstly there was a cardboard box to protect the product, next there was a pharmacy paper bag and once this was opened there was a pouch and a tub of the two products I had ordered along with a paper copy of my prescription. I hope they continue this way because the whole process was efficient and fuss free.

Welcome @Ap27 and great news you've been able to get up and running with Medicann so fast after enquiring with them and the parcel you received is how IPS usually pack the products and quite welcome I imagine after the jiffy bags from CB1 .

Welcome @Ap27

Glad to see you're having a smooth experience so far. It's much like mine has been.

IPS are a top tier pharmacy in my experience.

In contrast, I'm sorry to read this mate. It certainly seems there's a contrast of experiences at the moment.

The app itself is a rebranded app called script assist, most of the industry who have an app, use this app. I don't know if the details limitations are a clinic or app problem but for a new patient I can certainly see how it feels a bit like you're left to sort it all yourself

Hopefully the doctor can reassure you in your appt, definitely bring up any concerns you have. It's their job to make you feel safe and secure in your journey.

I'm about to do the exact same thing from CB1 after I get remainder of my script I'm off like a shot

Im having a mixed experience so far trying to get moved over to Medicann. initially I was impressed by their swift response to my initial email. Then I didn't receive any notifications of appointments or phone calls, so I contacted them to find out what was happening. It was then, on a Wednesday that I was informed I had a phone apptmnt on the Friday morning (22nd Aug) at 0900hrs. I sat by my phone waiting and had access to computer for any info that I needed to drag up for them ( not a smart phone user, so couldn't be out and about to deal with the call.) Nothing happened! I sent an email over asking what the issue was, no reply, I then sent another email 20 mins later letting them know I needed to leave the house by 0930 as I was self employed and needed to go earn money. Then I was out in the woods all weekend with no access to computer, no big deal, bank Holiday weekend, didn't expect office to be open then anyway. But come Tuesday morning office reopening, no emails at all explaining why they failed to call me or to rearrange an appointment. I have sent three emails asking for contact and have received zero response at this point. I know everyone hates Releaf and they are pricey, but they respond immediately with emails and have met every appointment on time and I have no problem ordering and receiving flower in good time. If this free clinic stuff is going to cause more stress and anxiety to those who already have an issue with those things. Seems to me that it negates any benefit of a free to use clinic if you cant actually use it properly. Have sent another email just now and hope to hear back, but at this point not holding out much hope.

Hi first post on MedBud.
I’ve started the process of becoming a MC patient and already facing difficulties. I have never registered anywhere else and I have that kind of error.
Can anyone explain what to do ? :D

Should I try with different email adress and delete actual account to wipe all data ?

Do you live in either a block of flats, shared accommodation, or a building name shared with others? My first thought is that their system is picking up other patients accounts.

The other thought is that perhaps it's already been recorded on your patient record, and if you refresh or load the page again it will already show as recorded.

Should I try with different email adress and delete actual account to wipe all data ?
I'd say don't delete, and if it's not sorted on a page refresh, it's best contacting Medicann support directly to try resolve: info@medicann.co.uk

Yes it’s a block of flats, I was giving a specific number in different ways(capital letter, space between number and letter) and it does not resolve the problem in any way.

I need to change GP practice for it anyway so I’ll try with different account maybe then.

I do not know if there is another patient in my block, there might be I can smell M around for sure like probably in any block of flats in my city :D

I hope he has better luck than me getting through to them. I have tried finding out why they left me out to dry over my appointment using info@ jersey@ uk@ all with no reply. I have replied to the thread of emails we had open too, letting me know I had an appointment etc, still no joy. Not helping my symptoms at all trying to reach these folk.. Im hitting the vape hard trying to deal with the frustration of it. Not really the best from a MC clinic trying to help people out with mental health concerns

@Jollygreengiant they responded to me in about an hour after first email. That was a pleasant surprise. I found out my GP practice is not listed on the app. So it’s time to switch to different medical centre now -.-
I was impressed to with the speed at which they responded to my initial enquiry. Even more so when I had an email response sent after cease work on Thursday before scheduled phone call. then complete radio silence, have sent five emails at this point that have all been ignored. Not sure if I will pursue it any further with that many red flags flying hard in the wind.. May stick with an application for Mamedica® instead. Piss poor show for Medican for me im afraid

After sending 3 more emails to several addresses I finally had a comical response asking if my questions I had were answered in my phone call, yup the one that never happened.. So obviously the answer was no, and asked if this was some form of endurance test to ensure that those getting services for free really needed them or something.. Not long after I received an email from the practice manager asking to contact me.. Expecting a phone call at 1900hrs, will see if it happens.

@Jollygreengiant how was your call ? I got appointment with Medicann today, I’m collecting my all available medical records in a rush now :D

Edit: appointment was about permission to access my medical records. Now it’s a waiting game :)

Same here  !

An update on my Medicann experience. I received a msg from the practice manager shortly after my last incredulous email to them. She arranged a phone call for 1900hrs, which didn't come till 1945hrs but apparently she hadn't received the email until shortly before. There could be some issue with their comms set up, but she also said that the people handling my emails were complacent in checking the mails thoroughly as they already had a patient with my name. This caused some confusion and people made assumptions rather than firm investigations into the problem, thus a clusterfornication occured! We had a good conversation and I was told I could use the personal contact number the practice manager had used to call me to call her direct should any problems occur moving forwards. The process is under way and will be given more appropriate attention am assured, so second chance given and will see how it goes. Apparently a problem they are having is that due to people becoming aware of a free clinic opening on the mainland, they are looking for sign up details and using the website that is meant for the Channel Island clinics. This means people details are not being processed correctly due to jurisdictional concerns. I am not sure what the proper would include it, maybe somebody more up to speed with things can help out with that.
