Clinics Medicann UK

Not their fault, but even under normal contract law, without getting into extra provisions for medical, you have made a contract with Medican / IPS when you paid. They have indicated to you their nominated sub-contractor during the process, but it is their relationship, and their responsbility to manage that sub-contractor as it relates to the nature of the contract.

If someone knows that medicine law trumps this somehow feel free to shoot me down and share but, in short, if their courier does not fulfil, it's their problem and their responsiblity for any losses involved, whether that's refunds or replacements for anything which doesn't come. It can not be their fault but be their responsbility at the same time.

I had my reservations about their operating model generally, but appreciate you sharing this as even the sniff of not taking ownership is a black mark that doesn't come off for me. I had been recommending them to patients without the means to pay clinic fees, but I'll stop that now
The issue is that the recipient can't raise the issue with Royal Mail. The only course of action is for the sender (IPS) to raise the concern, and they refuse to do it because there's no upside for them.

Yeah my point is it's not about upsides for them, it's about what they are legally liable for

I know ... my point was that neither Medicann nor IPS was willing to put in the complaint to Royal Mail because it costs them time/money and they get nothing in return.

They can all choose to ignore their obligations, and we, as patients, are left with no alternative means of resolution/escalation.

That's why I filed a complaint against Royal Mail's policies.

ive just had my initial call with a Medicann nurse now and i have my doctors call with Dr sunny on Saturday evening which surprised me being a weekend. Here's hoping im one step closer to getting my medication and a good nights sleep for once
Definitely sounds like you’re nearly there. I think my order was shipped the day after my call with him

Yeah I know what you mean too. The alternative means I suppose is to sue them or move to a different clinic. I've done the latter when I did not like a clinic's practices. Money is the only vote we have that means anything to the money-mad of the world

Ahh okay, that is a useful thread, thank you. Yeah I guess if they have a few different batches it would be hard for them to give the expiry beforehand.

I think they should at least show if a product has been reduced in price so people have an idea though.

It’s cool that people on here and helping. But IMO the pharmacy should have more info. For instance, Medicann show the traceability for products on script assist, but you can only see it after you’ve placed the order.
If something is reduced then it will usually tell you why high stock / short date even the exact date on some and then you can go to thf med bud page for that one and it will tell you say they originally sold it at 10 a g then in June it became 8/8.50 depending on clinic then you will have the sale price so think get quite a lot of info really and some clinics reduce sooner than others and some extend date to if weeds still looking good but no it usually says before buy why it’s reduced x

If sonny is calling it will just be to say he excepts you and that the script assist will work so can see all options and decide what your thinking of getting
usually by next day or later that day works then he will say as weekend not to order till Monday morning to garentee Tuesday delivery think that’s just incase stock goes out of sink the weekend..,but I had my call on a Friday meds on the tues call lasted under 2 minutes and probably only as i asked couple questions he’s really sound x

Yeah that’s what I expected. But I haven’t seen this on Medicann? I bought something that was reduced and expires this month but it didn’t mention it on script assist. Unless I just missed it maybe.

No don’t think it’s on script assist it’s on the info on the discount list on the MedBud page and not always ours are on there but you can usually figure it out roughly… and now iv realised how good boveda’s are at bringing weed back to life less worried about short date but there’s some clinics take the piss like the other day there was one and they were still asking like 70% and it had 2 days date left so most of us didn’t buy it out principal so the clinic will of been stuck with it unless extended the date but no some of the discounts like 7% off are a joke thankfully we don’t seem to get to many stupid ones like that but there is most not a discount worth having on the list on here there will only ever be a couple half price think done better with my clinic as they have own formula but get idea off there what we may see go on sale and seem to get stuff that’s not even listed on there but guess they got good contacts and buy a lot

Thank you. Yeah I’ve seen it in MedBud and that’s what I’ve been checking. I just really think that the pharmacy should list it on script assist.

We do try and track the up to date batch expiry dates as below but we rely on patient feedback for this but it might help you in a few cases but some times more than one batch will be circulating ,it's never simple is it 😅
Some clinics spreadsheets and formulary's will indicate when it's near expiry.

Is there a minimum expiry time required for products eg 28 days from issuing from dispensary?

No as some dispense right up to the last days but they usually ring you to see if you are aware and will accept it (sometimes offering a discount if not already discounted )and that has happened at my wife's clinic also to this some dispensaries will stop accepting prescription for products a couple of week before expiry as Newgrove did recently on the MAC3 .

That could be a reason for me to consider moving clinics.

Do we know when the medicine is manufactured? Is it 12 months before expiry date or is it all random depending on the grower / supply chain?

What happens if you receive your medicine tomorrow 13th Nov and it has an expiry date of 14th Nov. You go out with your cannabis on the 15th in it’s correct packaging and get pulled by the police. Your prescription will be in date and compliant but your medicine will be out of date. Could they confiscate it, what are our rights in this situation?

The expiry is regards dispensing and not use by date so is good legally and as long as it is prescribed to you than you legally posses it so long as you can prove it .

We sometimes get to find out when it was grown(or tested at least) on C.O.A.'s and it changes from one supplier to the next regards how long expiry is with some 6 months some longer but sometimes products get delayed in transit and may arrive in dispensaries 3 months into that expiry date and especially when it's a new product I find like it has been held up for tests .

If your script assist same as mine it’s just got the name % and cost and if Hybrid but yeah there isn’t a lot yet don’t think script assist that advanced so probably can’t gather the data it’s pretty basic

I hope that question didn’t sound too paranoid. I spent years panicking about picking up an eighth and very occasionally a Q (work dbs implications ).
Currently sat on about 3oz (in date) and medicated and legal. 🙏
I looked over my shoulder for many a moon and it took me a long time to shrug that paranoia off so I totally understand and you just want to know and that's fair enough as if you ever get in a situation you know where you stand 🙏

It’s a reasonable question. Although I would say a large percentage of police are clueless and falsely arrest people all the time. A fair amount of them probably don’t know it’s legal or they think you need a cannabis card or something silly.
