Hi all. Fairly new to this and looking forward to the future. I had my prescription for the first time 2 months ago. I joined Releaf and was only prescribed oil, Somaí 25:1 HYB. It's had a nice effect re relaxing my anxiety without making me feel inactive. Due to OOS my follow up was replaced with the 25:1 IND, which I specifically didn't want as I am keen to avoid feeling drowsy. It made me think about changing clinic.
I would like to consider flower (used to smoke 25 years ago) and other oils. Variety and a good quality clinic is important. I don't get through much at the minute and was weighing up between Medicann or Cannabis Clinic Cardiff. Could I justify CCC while getting low quantities .Thanks for all the wonderful content you're all creating.

Good call on leaving Releaf, they're certainly shit.
I have just left Medicann to join CCC and they offer very different experiences. CCC as a clinic are superb, wonderful doctor and support staff. The option to use any pharmacy does make things cheaper. I saved £108 this month and I still have more I can order.
There can be hiccups on the pharmacy side and although the clinic do their best it can add days on to deliveries but it's a price you must pay for all pharmacy access.
IVe had an update and down experience so far but I am saving money.
Medicann, I would never recommend. You'll never see a Dr or have a appointment to follow up, you can't order outside of their own pharmacy, the stock levels are shit in 2026, the support staff are very blunt and rude. The only thing they do well is fast script sign off for next day delivery. That's it.
Their best service is their lack of service.
I suppose me making the move tells you what I think even with the new lived experiences of life with CCC.
To give you an idea as to the difference in service, Medicann recently changed a policy on the quiet (they do that a lot) to do with travel letters. You have to have your meds on the same script for them to do a travel letter. Given the nature of ordering on Medicann you do it when you need so you can often have multiple scripts a month.
They told me if I want them on the same travel letter I'd have to rebuy the carts I had for £80 each.
Bare in mind we are talking about a letter here, not some feat of engineering or manned mission to Pluto.
I digress, when I spoke to CCC I asked them about travel letters, not only did the Dr say it's not an issue for them to be on separate scripts but he also said he would cover the meds from Medicann.
That difference in service sums up the difference in clinics imo.

Welcome to the Community @Scrabble, if you talk to your doctor he should prescribe flower for you.
There's plenty of clinics to choose from where you just pay postage and for your meds, no clinic fees.
Medicann is who I'm with as I just pay postage.
There's Curaleaf, Airmed, Lyphe for Veterans, Big Narstie Medical, Intergro, Auravia and probably a couple more but I couldn’t say what these are are like but there's the Gap Scheme that some clinics accept for people on low incomes ect. Whatever you decide, good luck on the rest of your MC Journey
Super helpful advice and thanks for sharing your experiences. I think I'll go down the either the Cannabis Clinic Cardiff or Medicann route. Just not sure I'll consume enough quantities to get a cost saving through ccc. Service and care sound great though.

On the main MedBud.wiki site, if you create an account you can view the formularies and pricing.
So you could pretend you're with Medicann and roughly figure out what you'd buy in 6 months for example.
Then do the same with CCC and apply apply that £250 and the £33 into the cost breakdown.
I assume Medicann will offer better value if you're only ordering small amounts but it's worth checking out as some pharmacies like Botanical have a huge range of flower in the £35-40 bracket so there are savings to be made with CCC in the right circumstances.
You'll have to let us know what you end up doing and how you enjoy things when you do make the move. It'll be a world apart from where you currently are.
I thought I'd update. I ended up going down the Medicann route in the end. I did contact Cannabis Clinic Cardiff and was eligible but after doing the maths, I just wasn't going to consume enough to justify the outlay of ccc. That said , they came across as highly professional and organised. Medicann have also been great. Account set up and prescription organised and received within 48hrs. I'm happy with the choice and level of service as I have low consumption and potency needs. I would say on the app it's not entirely clear what my allowance is, and I'm also surprised I was provided a prescription while still a patient at Releaf. I'll need to arrange for an official transfer letter I suppose. My next step is to procure a new vapourizer. I'm thinking of an all-rounder like the Arizer Go Srt, SB Venty or Tinymight 2. First vapourizer so any feedback or thoughts welcome (appreciate this is straying into other thread territory).

Hi, I'm glad you have finally made your decision and everything went ok for you at Medicann. Yes Medicann will have checked when you last had a prescription and youll find this is normal once they have done their checks. If you tried to get a prescription from your previous Clinic, you would find they would not allow you to, even without asking for a discharge letter. In your Medicann app, you can contact Medicann and ask them what your allowance is every 28 days, like I did today, I had an idea what my allowance was and I was spot on. Pain patients seem to have a higher allowance, I cant say what the other allowances are for other conditions, as I don't know.

Medicann is FREEand next day delivery guaranteed before 1 pm!
Regarding the DaVinci IQ3, If you appreciate precision and build quality, it is a formidable piece of hardware:
Vapor Quality: The integrated "Cool Core" uses zirconia to effectively spiral and cool the vapor path, providing a much smoother experience even at higher temperatures.
The Experience: It is built for a structured session. You can dial in exact temperatures for precision, or utilize the "Smart Paths" for a consistent, set-and-forget workflow.
Engineering: The brushed aluminum body and tactile feedback of the buttons feel premium. The transition to a 21700 battery is a major functional upgrade, significantly extending the time between charges.
Maintenance: While conduction-heavy devices require regular cleaning to maintain flavor purity, the IQ3’s design is more refined than previous iterations, making the upkeep process more efficient.

Congratulations on getting set up with your new clinic mate!
On the DHV front, I have so many its getting ridiculous.
If you want a battery portable then the TM2, Taffee Flaske, Taffee Bowl and Frolic are unbeatable for performance. the TF and TB are considerably expensive. The TM2 provides the best flavour, its easiest to clean and its the best looking device out there imo - if paired with an infinity stem it also has the best cooling, then you've got the frolic which is the TM2 in a "throw it in your bag" format. It's plastic so flavour suffers and its a pain to clean but the device is top tier. It has a bigger battery than the TM2 but the OLED screen eats away at that so they're about equal in reality.
If you were happy to experiment away from batteries, then I would recommend a Tempest 2 or a Dani Punch 2.0. These are the closest experiences I've had to smoking with any DHV. Pair them with an induction heater and you've got a device that battery portables can't compete with for less money than a Frolic.
A Venty is okay, S&B have had their quality go down the toilet since they were sold. if you get a Venty be prepared to send multiple for replacement every year. I know people on their 5th and 6th Venty devices in less than 2 years. It's a good all round device heavily held back but a company chasing the bottom line. I feel its outdated now and surpassed by many devices but its still decent and for people to persist onto their 5th and 6th device shows you how much they must like it.
I would avoid the Arizer Go SRT. it doesn't do anything particularly well and is considered a step down in all areas from the Solo III - except pocketability - Defo consider a Solo III, it's a big boy but packs a very similar punch to the TM2 and Frolic. If you like the form factor of the Arizer Go SRT then check out a Firewood 11 (keeps up with the TM2, Frolic, etc) or an Entheos Convex 2.0.
Assuming desktops aren't a consideration? that's where you'll get the most bang for your buck but obviously you can't move much with them.
