Site Updates Public BETA: MedBud's Master Formulary (Advanced Filters for All Medications)

General updates on development of the MedBud platform as a whole.
Now launched in Public BETA for testing and feedback.

We're incredibly proud today to announce the public BETA for what we expect to be the single best tool and most used page across our platform moving forward. MedBud's Master Formulary provides advanced filtering and sorting for all CBPM medications available in the UK, as published on our database. Filtering is currently available for the following fields:
  • Medication Format (Flower, Oils etc.)
  • Availability Status (Main Distributor)
  • Dispensing Pharmacies (Currently Limited to Whatever is on their Formulary, Regardless of In/Out of Stock)
  • Package Price
  • Pence Per Milligram (THC/CBD)
  • THC/CBD
  • Classification (Indica/Sativa)
  • Strains/Cultivars (Including Parent Strains)
  • Irradiation
  • Cultivation Country
  • Packaging Country
  • Brand
  • Producer
  • Expiry Date (Where Known)

We've temporarily stripped back several more advanced features which are still in development, because we feel it's important we get a working version of the tool up as soon as possible for all patients and clinicians - as it's such a vast improvement on our current systems.

Still to follow:
  • Alternate row-based view, more akin to traditional tables on MedBud.
  • Tabs on the grid-based view, showing further details on lineage, terpene profiles, stock levels et cetera.
  • Various other improvements highlighted by our @BETA Testers group which we'll fully document shortly.
Known Issues:
  • Placeholder

We now have a secondary development copy which will be used by our @BETA Testers group to help us finalise our remaining planned features, before they're launched on the main public version of our Master Formulary.

Any and all feedback greatly appreciated 🙌

Great work, this was definitely needed!
One thing to enhance the search would be a THC percentage slider. Don't know why but the package totaled THC doesn't do the same as packaging is in different quantities.

Hi, I think it's very helpful thus far. If I was to give my two pennies worth, I'd love to see total terpene value for selected flowers that display that info.
Also, to filter out certain terpenes as believe it or not, some folk can be allergic to some terpenes. 🤷🏽‍♂️

It does, however, expose the poor quality of the information we have about terpene content. As patients we really need to demand that the clinics/pharmacies provide complete and standardised terpene profiles showing absolute levels, not just relative levels.

Hey @Muiredach ,

Apologies, late to the party. The formulary is peachy. It's filtering well, the thumbnails are sweet and all the links so far are working. I'd like to be more precise with the sliders but its prob a little OCD lol. It all seems to be loading nice and quick.
Superb addition to the site. Well done, laborious work but an amazing end product.

Hey, @Muiredach - great work on the formulary. Loving it, especially the irradiation and terp filters. Super good! 🤘
Something I'm noticing the more I use it - when I navigate from the formulary product card to the product page, then perhaps have a rootle around in the forum via the product discussion tab, or perhaps head off from the product page to scout other products by the same supplier, and then back-button my way back to the formulary, all my previous filter selections have changed. Obvs, I can mitigate this by opening links in new tab, so my appreciation for the filters persists 😄

@Muiredach the formulary is getting some 'out of memory' errors. I've had it on a single filter selected and multiple. Hopefully I've not missed a dedicated reporting thread ;)
I've sent that on just in case he doesn't see it today mate and we've been looking for something possibly amiss somewhere so cheers 🙏

Passed this on the other day mate and he reckons the problem could be machine/browser running out of memory at your end as the master formulary as it stands can be pretty demanding as it stands (y)

How is the information from Curaleaf obtained? There are many differences compared with their own online formulary.
I do know it's Curaleaf pharmacy's formulary that we have here and we do need a better solution as this is only updated manually as we receive information and not like a few other formularies which are automated which we do hope to do with Curaleafs when we have constant access.

I can see D/Labs OGC32 on the curaleaf formulary £8g but not on MedBud formulary? Im playing with the filters so could be a user error

Don't worry it's not user error as the problem is we don't have live access to their formulary and whilst it's expected to be updated soon the current formulary we have here is from October unfortunately .

The other pharmacies each provide an API?
