This is exactly how my wife was going into the appointment with CB1 Medical but she was at ease within minutes and it became a pleasant experience and filled her full of hope by the end of it and she was prescribed the right amount and right THC levels after we let them know she has a high tolerance as she had used strong Cannabis continually for her pain issues for many years .Hi, Thank you so much , I hear you loud and clear
, I appreciate the time you have taken to write this … the anxiety is hitting at the moment , I will feel better after the consultation tomorrow when I know what is what, I am sure half of the things whirling in my head will ease then . I am the type to need to know where I stand- I feel like I am in no man’s land at the moment ( in limbo) . “This could happen , that could happen , what if this , what if that “…… that is the brain right now
Anyway , I know I have landed in the right place with you lovely lot , so again thank you for the warm welcome![]()
Aww Brilliant , I hope so … it is with a lady dr , I have only heard about dr Simon so I hope the lady is as reassuring . You'll soon feel at ease once the consultation begins I'm sure .
I hope they're paying youI've got 5 people registered in the past 2-3 weeks, every one of them went through without a hiccup![]()
How is she getting on? I ask as I am so hopeful and it sounds like she was too , have things planned out as expected in her treatment ? It's been a bit of a ride really as her disease activity was progressing anyway so she recently had a big change in her NHS treatment which has helped enormously and now her symptoms are kept in check with MC a lot easier and she is reducing her pain patch and finding she can use lighter THC MC than earlier in the year so basically we are starting again from a point where her disease is a lot more controlled and starting to see real improvements recently compared to six months or so ago and are about to reintroduce CBD into things and see if that improves things further in the hope of reducing further her pain patch and possibly MH meds as she has halved them alreadyHow is she getting on? Edited to add - hopeful in the way that this could massively improve my quality of life
Wow ! That is fantastic , it sounds like it has all come together at the right time. It’s such a long drawn out journey isn’t it particularly with hospital visits and the trial and error that comes along with a lot of illnesses medication and the way the NHS pathways deal with things. I am really happy that your wife has found such improvements with both her new medication and the MC …. I hope things get even better for her ( for both of you)It's been a bit of a ride really as her disease activity was progressing anyway so she recently had a big change in her NHS treatment which has helped enormously and now her symptoms are kept in check with MC a lot easier and she is reducing her pain patch and finding she can use lighter THC MC than earlier in the year so basically we are starting again from a point where her disease is a lot more controlled and starting to see real improvements recently compared to six months or so ago and are about to reintroduce CBD into things and see if that improves things further in the hope of reducing further her pain patch and possibly MH meds as she has halved them already![]()

Something that goes under the radar here in the forum is the MedBud Academy and you can get the feel of things from a prescribers perspective and see how treatment has progressed in certain cases and well worth a read .

Love the nameThat's literally why I chose this username lol.
I only self-medicated for about a year before switching to MC, so I know absolutely nothing.
Told ya you'd be fineHi,
Just an update - I didn’t know where to write this so thought I would just come back here
My appointment went well , I was on for about 20mins and within 5 minutes she told me I was approved but it has to go to the board ( standard I think) . She didn’t limit the THC but I am capped at 40G for now , which I am ok with . That was my fault as I said (when asked ) that I use about an ounce a month but I stated this may change with regular dosing. So she wrote me a prescription and I am waiting for that to be signed off.
I am not sure about her choices after researching them but hey, first prescription so I will do what the nice dr recommends. She has given me two lots- a day and night and says to research and I can order more this month if anything takes my fancy.
She stated I can request other forms to be added to my prescription in the future if i wish. All in all a nice experience.
Thank you so much on this thread for your reassurance, support and warm welcome , I nearly came back here yesterday for a rant after I received my patient care summary and half the diagnosis were missingI was furious, but luckily the dr had enough to go on… phew.
Anyway , yes , that’s it![]()
