Hi, I’ve been signed off to use MC today and hoping to get some advice.
I have a chronic pain/nerve condition and not sure what to try first.
If anyone could recommend a flower, what quantity to order and a vaporiser I would be very grateful.
My Dr has recommended the Mightyplus vaporiser but not the herb, or quantity. I have some oil on the way to get me started.
Thank you for any help

Welcome to the community @Max Riff and between us we'll help with advice about trusted strains from our experience but they do effect us differently we tend to find strains that help many with different symptoms and I have the Mighty vaporiser and find it ok and effective but others may step forward with there suggestions as a few here have a lot more experience than myself of vaping .

Do you use what is termed as black market cannabis or is it all new to you as this makes a massive difference(regards recommendations) as you would need to build up tolerance and regards amounts if you are not a frequent user thus far I'd say is 30grams as this allows 10g for each of daytime use ,evening use and to sleep.

Hello and welcome.
What is your past usage and tolerance of cannabis? Have you had any black market strains that you found useful?

Hi , really grateful for the response. Thank you. I used to use black market cannabis back in my 20-30’s but not used any since. I used to use it daily, but not heavy usage. I’m looking for something to mainly be used in the evening. Getting comfortable watching the tv with the wife is impossible for me. I have a fentynal prescription for pain but it doesn’t do anything for nerve pain.
Quantity wise, enough or

Hi , thank you too . Wow what a response. 2 in 4 mins. The only strain I can ever remember was Northern Lights while in Amsterdam. The usual stuff was just really strong Skunk as we used to call it from the local dealer .

Looking at this you may be fine with less than 30grams but at the same time you may find it useful at others times of day over time so use may go up in amount as your symptoms are properly treated but one step at a time and keeping costs in check is super helpful.

From what you say I'd suggest trying a couple of strains to see if one works better than the other and one I'm currently using is Platinum Garlic is nice and relaxing without being overpowering and for me it helps me to relax in the evening but I also know of another member who also uses it and is a pain patient which I am not .

Thank you, that’s really helpful of you. I’ll put the platinum garlic on the list and see if any further recommendations come through before I order. As far as the vaporiser goes do you get everything you need by just ordering the vape or do you need/recommend any accessories. I’ve been using normal vapekits fora few years but never for herbs.

The dry herb vapes are another rabbit hole to dive down. Hand held, tabletop, convection, conduction etc. I'm currently using a V.5 flowermate nano as a handheld (I'm too cheap to upgrade at the moment) which works fine on it's own but the vape cloud can be a bit underwhelming. My partner uses a Utillian 723 (£170) which has much better vape quality but she needs a glass bubbler to go with it so it's less harsh.
For a tabletop I use an arizer XQ2 (£160) and glass bubbler so I don't cough up a lung.

Lots of people favour Storz and Bickel mighty and venty and a lot like the Tiny might 2. However they are all around £300

Hopefully more recommendations come in regards strains as I'm sure they will .

With dry herb vapes depending on the model people will use capsules so to keep the inside of the vape cleaner and to control dosing and there are also things like water bubblers which for medical patients can help a lot as they let you vape at a lot higher temp(often making the MC more effective ) as the vapor is water cooled and the heat source is further away when vaping .

If you are using mainly at home there are desktop vaporisers that are less mobile and for home use and I'll place a couple of threads below with many different types in and it really is worth doing a bit of reading on this as it can be expensive if you get one that doesn't suit well.

I would NOT recommend a V5 flowermate. There are lots of better handhelds for a little bit more

Wow , I really wasn’t expecting there to be so much variety. So much for a pack of Old Olbern tobacco and a pack Rizlers.
I will begin the research. Thank you so much .

I thought it was just me who used old holbern 😂
Also in addition to those threads member feedback like from @NuggetofGreen above can prove the best sources of info as they are from real life experience of these products (y)

Many moons ago like 30 years ago but I did prefer it at one point then got to a point I couldn't stand it at all :ROFLMAO:
I am a Golden Virgina smoker and have been most of my time but if cheap Amber Leaf is about it has to be had .

Welcome, Pave S1 is the all-round winner if you can afford it

Other ones good for pain (all recs are subjective, there will always be a possibility of it will / won't work for you) are generally heavy hitting Indicas, though some Sativas will do it too like Black Jelly and a fair few Hybrid strains too

I'm currently adding in oils for the first time to my treatment and that's been the most effective thing so far for my bodily complaints

As far as flower vape, I have had a Mighty Plus for getting on 2 year I think and i've never had a reason to try another portable one, they are reliable and do the job

If you order the vape cartridges check the fitment required and you'll need a corresponding 'battery' device, e.g. a 510 vape battery for a 510 fitment cart
